Who is Madeleine Arthur?
Madeleine Arthur was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on 10 March 1997 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she holds Canadian nationality. She’s an actress with close to 30 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of Older Jane in the 2014 biographical crime movie “Big Eyes”, directed by Tim Burton, and which starred Amy Adams, Christoph Waltz and Danny Huston. It follows the painter Margaret Keane who became famous in the 1950s, while her husband then claimed credit for her paintings; the movie won three of the 21 awards for which it was nominated.

Early life and education
Madeleine was raised in Vancouver by her father Brian Arthur, and her mother Jane (nee Walter); she respects her parents’ privacy, and thus not a lot about them is known. Because Madeleine hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, she’s believed to be an only child.
She became interested in acting when she was around six years old, mostly because she watched movies and TV series with her parents nearly every night. In 2011, Madeleine enrolled at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, and the same year saw her make her debut TV series appearance, with her portrayal of Meg in the episode “Dreamcatcher” of the action adventure drama “R. L. Stine’s the Haunting Hour”.
At the same time, Madeleine was passionate about gymnastics, and spent 13 years entering various competitions, before eventually choosing to concentrate on acting.
She matriculated in 2015, and didn’t enroll at college.
Roles in TV series
In 2013, Madeleine made a guest appearance in an episode of both the mystery crime drama “The Killing”, and the action fantasy adventure “Spooksville”, then in 2014, she portrayed Charlotte Taylor, in four episodes of the popular action science fiction drama “The Tomorrow People”. It was created by Greg Berlanti and Phil Klemmer, starred Robbie Amell, Peyton List and Luke Mitchell, and follows several humans who have superpowers, and are running away from the government’s agents who want to kill them; the series won two of the five awards for which it was nominated.

Madeleine appeared in the 2015 episode “About a Boy” of the critically acclaimed fantasy horror drama “Supernatural”, and the following year saw her star as Young Willa Warren in all 12 episodes of the mystery drama “The Family”; it was created by Jenna Bans, also starred Joan Allen and Rupert Graves, and follows a politician’s son who was presumed to be dead, but has returned to his hometown after many years. Madeleine then appeared in an episode or two of various series, including the action adventure drama “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”, the mystery crime drama “The X-Files”, and the fantasy mystery drama “The Magicians”.
Her two most recent roles in TV series have been in five episodes of the action science fiction drama “Snowpiercer” in 2020, and two episodes of the family comedy drama “Chad” in 2021.
She’s currently shooting for the upcoming mystery comedy mini-series “Guilty Party”, and the mystery thriller mini-series “Devil in Ohio”.
Roles in movies
Madeleine made her debut appearance on the big screen in the 2014 horror thriller “Grace: The Possession”, and in 2015, she was cast to star as Becky Collins, in the drama “Reluctant Witness”. Directed by Monika Mitchell, it also starred Mia Kirshner and Paul McGillion, and follows Erin who has helped the police catch her mafia husband, while his friend is now exacting revenge.
A couple of Madeleine’s following roles were in the 2017 short science fiction “Echo and Solomon”, the 2018 romantic comedy drama “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, and the 2019 heist drama “Enclosure”.
