Who is Dallas James Liu?
American actor Dallas James Liu was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 21 August 2001, so Leo’s his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in 15 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still known best for playing Jin Kazama Aged 6 in the 2010 crime action movie “Tekken”, debut film appearance directed by Dwight H. Little, and which starred Jonathan Patrick Foo, Kelly Overton and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. It follows Jin Kazama who watched his mother die in the Anvil slums when he was a child, while he’s now decided to fight as an adult, and avenge his mother.
Education and early life
Dallas was raised by his Asian-American parents in San Gabriel Valley, California, but rarely speaks about them in public, because they prefer to stay away from media; it’s believed that Dallas’ father is the owner of his own small business, and his mother a homemaker. It’s known that Dallas has siblings, but he’s yet to disclose their genders and names.
He was five when he began practicing martial arts, eventually excelling in Japanese Shotokan and competing in the North American Sport Karate Association; he entered many international competitions before turning 13, when he transitioned to acting.
Dallas was 12 when he made his debut TV series appearance, playing Young Bi Han in the 2013 episode “Liu Kang and Kung Lao Reunite in Macau” of the popular short action adventure “Mortal Kombat: Legacy”, which starred Casper Van Dien, Ian Anthony Dale and Samantha Win, and follows the lives of several characters from the hit game “Mortal Kombat”; the series won two of its nine award nominations.
Dallas attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2019 chose to focus on his career, rather than to go after a college degree.
Roles in TV series
The year 2014 saw Dallas play Boy in the episode “Enormous” of the eponymous action series, and Riley in the episode “The Mutilation of the Master Manipulator” of the crime comedy “Bones”.
In 2015, he portrayed Yoshi in the episode “Gortimer vs. The Terrible Touch-Up” of the popular family fantasy adventure “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street”, which David Anaxagoras created, and which starred Drew Justice, Ashley Boettcher and Sloane Morgan Siegel. It follows the lives of best friends Mel, Ranger and Gortimer, the series aired from 2014 through 2016 and won nine of the 23 awards for which it was nominated.
Dallas played Jake Hazelton in the 2016 episode “Legacy” of the crime mystery “CSI: Cyber”, and he gained recognition in the same year, with his portrayal of Carter in the comedy “Legendary Dudas”, created by Kevin Jakubowski, and which starred Megan Richie, Meyrick Murphy and Theodore Barnes; it’s a mockumentary about two brothers as they’re attending the same homeroom class.
Dallas could then have been seen playing Bruce Lee in four episodes of the 2018 short adventure comedy “The Who Was? Show”, two episodes of the 2019 family comedy “No Good Nick” and eight episodes of the 2020 drama “Players”.
Most recently, from 2019 through 2021, he played Shuji Ishii-Peters in 14 episodes of the popular comedy “PEN15”, created by Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle, who also starred in it; the series follows the lives of two 15 years old girls, and it won three of its 48 award nominations.
Dallas is currently shooting for the upcoming series “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.
Roles in movies
In 2015, Dallas portrayed Young Jimmy in the family action “Underdog Kids”, written and directed by Phillip Rhee, who also starred in it, alongside Mirelly Taylor and Max Gail. It follows a group of children from a poor neighborhood as they’re facing the Beverly Hills Junior National Karate Team.
Dallas appeared as Reed in the 2016 comedy “Hopefuls (Nickelodeon Sitcom Pilot)”, and the following year saw him star as Abe in the short drama “Ella”, written and directed by Dan Chen, and which also starred Andre Davis, Reilly Donnelly and Ann Hu; it follows an Asian-American boy who’s in love with his older brother’s girlfriend.

Dallas has appeared in only one other movie: he played Ruihua in the hit 2021 action fantasy adventure “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and which starred Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Leung Chiu-wai. It follows Kung Fu Master Shang-Chi who’s joined the Ten Rings organization, and the movie won 20 of its 87 award nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
Dallas is currently shooting for the upcoming movie “The Slumber Party”.

Dallas was featured in the 2013 documentary film “Tricking: The Freedom of Movement” and the 2021 TV special “LIVE Red Carpet World Premiere: Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.

He’s featured many of friends in his Instagram pictures and videos, and there’s a girl who can often be seen in these pictures, and whom Dallas’ fans believe to be his girlfriend. The girl’s name hasn’t been disclosed, and it’s believed that she and Dallas have been friends since elementary school, and that they’ve been in a relationship for over four years now; this hasn’t been confirmed by Dallas.
There are also those who believe the popular actor to be gay, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
Dallas seems to be unattached as of March 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
