Troy Dendekker was born in Columbia, South Carolina USA, on 8 March 1971 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she holds American nationality. She’s probably only known for having been the wife of the late American musician Bradley James Nowell, who’s still remembered for his ska punk band Sublime.
Early life and education
Troy was raised in Columbia by her mother Robin Newton and father David; nothing is known about her parents as she respects their privacy, however, it’s said that her father was the owner of a real estate agency, and that her mother was a housewife. She matriculated in 1989, and then chose not to pursue a college degree, but to find a job to financially support herself.

Love life and marriage with Bradley Nowell
Troy met Bradley in 1990, while he was touring around the US with his band, and they spent the following four years dating on-and-off; Troy occasionally toured with Bradley and his band.
It was revealed in October 1994 that she was pregnant, and Troy gave birth to their son Jakob James Nowell on 25 June 1995.
Only a week prior to Bradley’s death, the two exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada on 18 May 1996, attended by only a couple of their closest friends.
Troy has been married to Kiki Holmes since 1 November 2002, and although they don’t have children together, he has a son named Jake Holmes from a previous relationship.

Who was Bradley Nowell?
Bradley James Nowell was born in Long Beach, California USA on 22 February 1968 – his zodiac sign was Pisces, and he held American nationality.
He was raised alongside his sister Kellie in Belmont Shore, Long Beach by their parents Nancy and Jim Nowell.
Bradley grew up being interested in sailing and surfing, and was a hyperactive child; his parents divorced in 1978, and he spent only a couple of months with his mother, who then sent him to live with his father because she was unable to control his behavior. It was mostly thanks to his father that Bradley became interested in music, as he took him to his first reggae concert, and also taught him to play the guitar; Bradley’s mother was a pianist and a flautist.
He was 16 when he formed his first band, Hogan’s Heroes, while he was still attending high school. After Bradley matriculated in 1986, he enrolled at the University of California, Santa Cruz, then moved to California State University, Long Beach, but dropped out to focus on music.
In 1988, Bradley and his friends Bud Gaugh (drums) and Wilson (bass) started playing at barbecues and house parties, calling themselves Sublime; they often had to leave the premises, because the neighbors complained about the noise. It took two years for the boys to become very popular in Southern California, and they then launched Skunk Records, their own music label.
In 1990, the American musician Michael ‘Miguel’ Happoldt, who was still a student at that time, let Sublime record at his school’s studio, without letting the school know about it. They would sneak in every night and record from midnight to 7 a. m; the cassette tape was released in 1991, entitled “Jah Won’t Pay the Bills”, which proved very popular. It was then that Bradley started using drugs, but refused heroin for several years.
The boys recorded their first album “40oz to Freedom” in the same way they recorded the above mentioned cassette tape, at California State University, Dominguez Hills; 60,000 copies were sold in 1992.
Four years later, on 25 May 1996, Bradley was found lying on the floor by his bandmate, while they were on a tour around Northern California; paramedics were called, but they pronounced him dead, stating that he had already been dead for several hours, from a heroin overdose.
Back in February 1990, Bradley had bought a Dalmatian puppy which he called Louie, and which was mentioned in many of Sublime’s songs as ‘Lou Dog’, as well as featured on the covers of their albums; when Bradley was found lying on the floor, Lou Dog was whimpering on the bed. After Bradley’s death, the band’s manager Miguel took care of Lou Dog, eventually dying on 17 September 2001 of old age.
