Rise to Fame
Hanna first entered major competition at the 2016 US Figure Skating Championships, held in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Thanks to her persistent dedication and hard work, Hanna managed to win her first significant medal, as she became the juvenile silver medalist. The 2017-2018 season marked another chapter in her professional sports career, as she made her debut in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Thereafter, she achieved another significant accomplishment in 2018 at the U.S. Championship in San Jose, California. During this event, she secured the title of junior pewter medalist, placing behind renowned skaters Alysa Liu, Pooja Kalyan and Ting Cui.
Continued Success
In late August 2018, Hanna suffered a serious foot injury, leading her to wear a protective boot for over a month, and held her from skating activities for several weeks. Hanna started the next season by earning a bronze medal at the Philadelphia Summer International, which was followed by her participation at the 2019 ISU Junior Grand Prix in France, where she achieved a seventh-place ranking. However, later that year, she suffered another foot injury which forced her to withdraw not only from the 2019 Junior Grand Prix in Italy, but also from the rest of the season; as a result, she lost the opportunity to represent the American team at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland. Hanna made a comeback to competitive skating at the 2021 U.S. Championships, but didn’t achieve much success there, since she secured the 17th position out of 17 skaters.

During the 2021-2022 season, Hanna secured the seventh position at the 2021 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb, and eighth place at the 2022 US Championships. She began the following season with a 12th-place finish at the Cranberry Cup International in Norwood, Massachusetts, and a notable fifth-place at the Lombardia Trophy in Italy, both in 2022. Most recently, Hanna won a silver medal at the 2023 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships, which led her to earn a spot at the 2023 U.S. Championships.
