A track and field athlete, fitness and sports model, who was noted as a ‘sex symbol against her will’ by German weekly Der Spiegel, Allison Rebecca Stokke was born under the zodiac sign of Aries on 22 March 1989, in Newport Beach, California USA; she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is White. She rose to prominence at the age of seventeen, after a journalist posted photos of her on a Californian track and field website, which were later re-posted by With Leather, an entertainment and popular culture news website. Within several weeks, her photos were re-posted by The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Australian daily The Sydney Morning Herald, and the German weekly Der Spiegel, making Allison an internet phenomenon.

Early life and education
She was raised in Newport Beach by her parents Allan and Cindy, alongside her brother David, who was a national-level youth gymnast.
Allison was into the sport from an early age, and after she tried gymnastics, she took up pole vaulting while she was in a high school, and as a freshman broke the American record, and then set a new high school sophomore record with 13ft 5ins (4.11m). Allison won twice at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) California State Meet, the annual championship track and field, and finished eighth at the national junior championships in 2005.
She attended Newport Harbor High School, and upon matriculating in 2007, enrolled at the University of California, Berkley, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2011.
Rose to fame
During her college days, Allison continued to pole vault, competing for the California Golden Bears, the collegiate track team, and participated in two of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCA) Division I Championships, where she achieved All-American honors at the 2011 NCCA Indoor Championships.
Through her combined athletic and academic performances, Allison earned regional level all-academic honors, and in 2012 she attempted to make the American Olympic team, however, she failed to record a height. After she graduated from college, she became a professional vaulter, and began working as a sports model for brands such as Athleta and Nike, among many others.
She competed in national-level meetings, and in 2016 she was eight at the Chula Vista OTC High Performance Meet, with a height of 13ft 7ins (4.15m), and in the following year, came third at the Austin Longhorn Invitational with a height of 14ft (4.27m).
Allison also worked with GoPro, an American technology company, delivering a series of videos with the camera attached to her pole, these videos gaining over six million views on YouTube.
She competed until 2017, and she still works as a fitness and sports model; her fans can keep track of her life through her Instagram account, which is today followed by over 700,000 people. Allison established her Twitter account in June 2012, and it’s been followed by nearly 50,000 people. On both her social media platforms, she mostly posts photos and videos featuring her sports career and her everyday life, plus there are dozens of photos of her husband.
What happened to Allison?
As mentioned, Allison became an Internet phenomenon after photos of her started circulating the internet, but she wasn’t happy with that, saying: ‘even if none of it is illegal, it just all feels really demeaning. I worked so hard for pole vaulting and all this other stuff, and it’s almost like that doesn’t matter. Nobody sees that. Nobody really sees me.’
All that attention affected her psychologically, and she tried to direct that attention to pole vault, so she gave an interview about her technique, but most of the comments and discussion remained in relation to her looks.
In her interview for espn.com Alisson said: ‘I feel like me and that picture are two different people, I feel it has taken on a life of its own. It’s like that picture is my alter-ego and sometimes I feel like I use it for a positive force, and sometimes I just choose to leave it out there and not engage with it.”
Some people around her asked why she didn’t seize the moment, however, Alisson didn’t want to be remembered as a sex symbol but as a successful athlete, which she achieved in the following years after the photo was published.
Love life and marriage
Allison hasn’t been the subject of any rumors and controversies concerning her love life; it’s widely known that she started dating her future husband in 2017. They haven’t revealed how they met, however, they were first pictured together at a golf tournament held in Austin, Texas.
The two became engaged in June 2018, and the wedding ceremony was held in October 2019.
Her husband is professional golfer Rickie Fowler, born Rick Yutaka Fowler on 13 December 1988, in Murrieta, California.
He holds American nationality, and comes from a family of Japanese and Navajo Native American descent.
Rickie is an almost entirely self-taught golfer, and when attending Murrieta Valley High School, in his senior year he won the SW League Final. Upon matriculating in 2006, he enrolled at Oklahoma State University, where he posted his first collegiate victory.
He started his professional career in 2009, and on 24 January 2016 he reached fourth in the Official World Golf Rankings, after his victory in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, United Arab Emirates.
Allison can often be seen supporting Rickie on the golf course, and according to their posts and photos, it seems that they enjoy their love.
Allison and Rickie became parents for the first time on 18 November 2021, when she gave birth to their daughter Maya.
As of March 2022, the family of three lives in their residence in Jupiter, Florida.
