Who is Reign Edwards?

American actress Reign Edwards was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 1 December 1996, in Harford County, Maryland USA. She has 16 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing Rachel Reid in 18 episodes of the adventure mystery series “The Wilds”, which was created by Sarah Streicher, and starred Shannon Berry, Sophia Ali and Rachel Griffiths. It follows a group of teenagers who’ve survived a plane crash and have found themselves stranded on an island – the film won one of its three award nominations.

Early life and education

Reign was raised in Harford County alongside her elder sister Angel Conwell, by their father whose name remains unrevealed and mother Destinis; Reign rarely talks about her family in interviews, but it’s known that she’s quite close to them, as she often features them in her Instagram pictures and videos.

She became passionate about acting at a quite an early age and was eventually able to convince her mother to take her to Los Angeles, California so that she could attend several auditions; Reign was 11 when she made her debut film appearance, playing Rally Participant in the 2008 romantic drama “Explicit Ills”, which was written and directed by Mark Webber, and starred Naomie Harris, Rosario Dawson and Paul Dano. It covers four stories as they’re intertwining in Philadelphia – the film won three of its four award nominations.

Reign then moved to Los Angeles and attended a local high school there, from which she matriculated in 2015, then didn’t attend college as she decided to focus on acting.

Reign played Leah in the 2010 short drama “Thicker Than Water”, while she was then cast to appear in the 2011 romantic comedy “35 and Ticking” and the 2013 musical “Trevor Jackson: Like We Grown”.

The year 2018 saw her play Brooke in the horror thriller “Hell Fest”, which starred Amy Forsyth, Stephen Conroy and Cynthea Mercado, and was directed by Gregory Plotkin. It follows a serial killer as he’s choosing victims at an amusement park, and the movie won a 2019 ReFrame Stamp for Feature.

In 2022, Reign portrayed the lead character Mackenzie Schaffer in the drama “Love You Anyway”, which also starred Gillian White and Charlie Gillespie, and follows Mackenzie as she’s growing up alongside her best friend Lucas.

Reign played Elsie in the 2023 short horror thriller “Dropping”, and her only other role has been portraying Britney in the comedy “Old Dads”, which starred Bokeem Woodbine, Bobby Cannavale and Bill Burr, and was also written and directed  by Bill Burr. It follows the lives of three best friends who’ve all become fathers.

Reign’s debut TV series role was playing Winnie Lee in three episodes (2015) of the action crime comedy “The Thundermans”, which starred Addison Riecke, Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin, and was created by Jed Spingarn. It follows the lives of twins with superpowers, the series aired from 2013 through 2018 and won three of the 19 awards for which it was nominated.

The year 2015 also saw her play Kitten in the episode “Debutante Baller” of the action comedy “K. C. Undercover”, and from 2015 through 2018, Reign portrayed Nicole Forrester Dominguez in 267 episodes of the long-running soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful”. From 2017 through 2019, she portrayed Leanna Martin in 13 episodes of the popular action adventure “MacGyver”, which starred Justin Hires, Tristin Mays and Lucas Till, and was created by Peter M. From 2020 through 2022, Reign played Rachel Reid in 18 episodes of the adventure mystery “The Wilds”, and her only other TV series role has been playing Rochelle in five episodes of the 2023 crime mystery “Truth Be Told”.
