Till grew up in Wendisch-Rambow, a village of Schwerin located in northern Germany. He is the son of famous children’s poet Werner Lindemann and his wife Brigitte Hildegard, who was a writer and journalist. However, Till’s parents divorced and he briefly lived with his father, but as he battled alcohol addiction, Till was enrolled boarding school, and upon reaching young adult years started supporting himself by taking numerous odd jobs.

However, Till decided to pursue a career in music and founded the punk rock band First Arsch, with which he released one album, entitled “Saddle Up” (1992), before joining the band Feeling B, with Paul H. Landers, Christian Lorenz and Christoph Schneider. After they won a Berlin demo band contest they changed the name to Rammstein as a tribute to the Ramstein air show disaster. The band’s first album, “Herzeleid”, came out in 1995 and reached No. 6 on German charts, and achieved platinum status in Germany, which only increased Till’s net worth and encouraged him and the band to continue to work together. On their live performances Rammstein became known for their extensive use of pyrotechnics which led to several accidents on stage, as Till burnt his hair and ears, so he acquired certification in pyrotechnics, so that he could safely operate with flammable substances. Till also became recognized for his stage move, called “The Till Hammer”.

The group’s second album, “Sehnsucht” (1997), topped the charts in Germany and Austria, and also charted in the US, reaching 45th spot on the US Billboard 200. The album also achieved platinum status in the USA, Canada and Germany, increasing further his net worth.

Rammstein continued successfully into the 2000s, and their third album “Mutter” (2001 topped the charts in Germany and Austria, and achieved double platinum status in Germany. Three years later their fourth album came out – “Reise, Reise” – followed by their fifth album, “Rosenrot”, the next year. Rammstein’s most recent release is the “Liebe ist für alle da” from 2009, which achieved double platinum status in Germany and platinum in Austria and Switzerland. Although the band stays active, they haven’t released new material in seven years, nor is any announced.

On the other hand, Till has launched another project with the help of Swedish multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren, called Lindemann, and so far has released one album “Skills in Pills” in 2015, which achieved gold status in Germany, increasing further his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, Till has two daughters from two romantic relationships; his first daughter is Nele, who also gave him a grandson, and Marie Louise, who is a daughter of his ex-wife Anja Köseling; other details are lacking to the media.
