Who is Candice Crawford?

A journalist and model, who was in the Top 10 Finalists for Miss USA 2008, Candice Crawford, is also known as the wife of Tony Romo, an analyst and former American Football quarterback, who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

Besides being known as a celebrity wife, Candice has built a name for herself thanks to her beauty pageant successes, and her work as a reporter for the Dallas Cowboy’s weekly sports show on Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS).

Early life and education

Candice Loren Crawford was born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 16 December 1986, in Lubbock, Texas USA, thus she holds American nationality, and comes from a family of Caucasian descent.

She was raised in Dallas, Texas, by her parents – her mother Dana was a teacher, while her father Chris worked as a dermatologist. Candice has an older brother, Chace Crawford, an actor, who is perhaps known best for his role as Nate Archibald in the popular series “Gossip Girl”.

During her first college year, Candice began reporting for the local National Broadcasting Company (NBC) TV station KOMU, and worked for “Friday Night Lights”, a high school football sports program.

In the following years, Candice served as a reporter for “The Blitz”, the Dallas Cowboy’s weekly sports show on CBS, and was a host of the weekly sports radio show “The Closers” on KFRU/1400 AM.

After she graduated, Candice worked for KDAF TV, an affiliate of The CW based in Dallas, covering high school games and cheerleader’s festivals, and also hosting TV programs such as “The RC Project” and “Up All Night”.

Marriage to Tony Romo

Candice met her future husband Tony Romo while she was working as an anchor for “The Blitz” in 2009; Tony asked her for a date, and the two started dating in the fall of 2009.

In the following year at Candice’s 24th birthday party, Tony proposed to her, she said ‘yes’, and their engagement was announced publicly the same day on KDAF TV, where Candice worked at that time.

Five months later, on 28 May 2011, the two exchanged their wedding vows in a ceremony held at Arlington Hall on Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas, in the presence of their closest family members and friends, who were asked not to take photos of the wedding.

Antonio Ramiro ‘Tony’ Romo was born under the zodiac sign of Taurus, on 21 April 1980, in San Diego, California USA, he holds American nationality, although he comes from a family of Polish, German and Mexican descents.

Tony is a ‘Navy brat’, and was born in San Diego where his father was stationed at the US Naval Base, however, the family later moved to Burlington, Wisconsin, where Tony spent most of his childhood.
