An actress, Mimi Rogers is perhaps still known best for her role as Sharon in the 1991 religious drama “The Rapture”, but besides her versatile acting, she is also known as the second wife of the world-famous American actor Tom Cruise. Mimi was the one who introduced him to Scientology, and he is today one of the most devoted members of this organization.

Early life, family, and education

Born Miriam Spickler under the zodiac sign of Aquarius on 27 January 1956, in Coral Gables, Florida USA, she holds American nationality, and comes from a family of Jewish descent.

She was raised in her hometown by her parents, Kathy Talent a former dancer, and Philip C. Spickler a civil engineer. Her mother was Episcopalian, and her father was Jewish; he became involved with Scientology before Mimi was born, thus the organization was part of her upbringing.

Mimi lived with her family in Virginia, Arizona, Michigan and England, before they settled in Los Angeles, California. The two became parents in 1994 when Mimi gave birth to their daughter, Lucy, then their son Charlie was born in 2001. Mimi and Chris exchanged their wedding vows on 20 March 2003, at the Beverly Hills, California court house.

As of September 2022, the two are still together, and Mimi is no longer practicing Scientology.
