Who is Kelly Piquet?
Brazilian model, public relations specialist and columnist Kelly Tamsma Piquet Souto Maior was born in Homburg, Saarland, (then) West Germany on 7 December 1988, making her zodiac sign Sagittarius. She’s probably best known for being the girlfriend of Max Verstappen, a popular Belgian-Dutch Formula 1 World Champion driver.
Education and early life
Kelly was raised alongside her five siblings in the south of France, by their Brazilian father Nelson Piquet who’s a retired F1 driver and who won F1 World Champion thrice, and their Dutch mother Sylvia Tamsma, who’s a retired Dutch model.
Kelly attended a local elementary school in France, and was 12 when she moved with her family to Brazil. She stayed there for three years prior to returning to France, but spent only a year there before at the age of 16 moving to England to attend a boarding school. Aged 17, Kelly returned to Brazil to attend her final year of high school, matriculating in 2007.
She then enrolled at New York City’s private Marymount Manhattan College, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in international relations in 2011. Kelly’s interest in fashion was born while at college, and she chose to pursue a career in the field upon graduation.
Kelly’s career
Not a lot has been disclosed about Kelly’s career, but it’s known that she’s written fashion blogs for the magazines “Marie Claire” and “Vogue Latinoamerica”, and has worked at KCD PR agency, and the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman Inc.
She’s also done some modelling work, and has posed for Lucas Boccalao and PatBO, as well as walking the catwalk at several fashion shows.
Since April 2015, Kelly’s been working on social media coverage for Formula E.

Kelly’s a social media star, as she’s today followed by more than 1.1 million people on the social media Instagram network, and has posted nearly 900 pictures and videos onto her account; many of these have been taken during her modelling photoshoots.
She’s passionate about travelling, and has been all around the world, mostly to attend her former and current boyfriend’s F1 races; Kelly’s dream travel destination is Paris, France mostly because she believes it to be the most romantic city in the world, as well as the home of fashion.
She goes shopping for clothes nearly every day, which makes her both a shopaholic and a fashionista.
Kelly loves summer, and enjoys swimming in the ocean and relaxing at the beach.

She began dating Russian F1 driver Daniil Kvyat in January 2017, and gave birth to their daughter in July 2019; most of their fans believed that they would marry following their daughter’s birth, however, they instead split in December of the same year.

Since January 2021, Kelly’s been dating Max Verstappen; it’s widely believed that they had already dated for several months prior to revealing that they were together, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Kelly or Max.
Kelly hasn’t mentioned other men whom she’s dated, she’s in a relationship with Max Verstappen as of November 2022, and has a daughter with former boyfriend Daniil Kvyat.

Who is her boyfriend Max?
Max Emilian Verstappen was born in Hasselt, Belgium on 30 September 1997, making his zodiac sign Libra. He’s probably only known for his achievements as an F1 driver for the team Red Bull Racing.
Max was raised in Hasselt alongside his younger sister Victoria, by their parents Sophie Kumpen and Joe Verstappen who divorced when Max was still very young, but remained equally involved in raising their children; Max also has three younger paternal half-siblings.
It was rather easy for Max to fall in love with F1, as his mother competed in karting and his father in F1; Max’s first cousin Anthony Kumpen’s a professional racing driver, who’s won the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Championship twice.
He was 17 when he began racing in F1, but only received his road driving license a year later; he moved to Monaco a day after his 18th birthday, and has since been living there.
It was in 2005 that Max competed in the Mini Junior Championship in Limburg, Belgium while the following year saw him compete in the Rotax Max Minimax class, winning it; he then won the Dutch Minimax Championship in 2007. The year 2009 saw him win both the Belgian KF5 Championship and the Flemish Minimax Championship with the CRG Team Pex Racing.
Max began racing internationally in 2010, and won the WSK World Series in the same year, as well as the WSK Euro Series in the following year. He drove an open wheeler racing car for the first time on 11 October 2013, and began competing in Formula 3 in 2014.
Max joined the Red Bull Junior Team (F1) in August 2014, and it was revealed on 5 May 2016 that he would be joining Red Bull’s main F1 team, replacing Daniil Kvyat (Kelly’s former boyfriend). Max was often praised for his skills in the following four years, and in 2020 placed #3 in the F1 Championship, while he became the World Champion in the following season, and again in 2022.
Most recently, in March 2022, Max signed a five-year contract with Red Bull Racing.
