Who is Courtney Hope?
Courtney was born under the zodiac sign of Leo on 15 August 1989, in Dallas, Texas USA; she holds American nationality and is of White ethnicity. She was raised by her parents, alongside her brother Jamie, in Plano, Texas.
Courtney had an interest in modeling, gymnastics and acting from an early age, thus at the age of 15 she graduated from a performing arts school, and then she moved to Los Angeles, where she enrolled in college, from which she graduated with an Associate Degree in Psychology when she was 18.
Courtney’s acting career
She made her acting debut aged 11 in 2000, in an episode of the series “Walker, Texas Ranger”, and then aged 16 she guest-starred in “Joan of Arcadia”, “Mrs Harris”, and “Related”, while in the same year, she made her first big-screen appearance portraying Theater Patron in “Dogg’s Hamlet, Cahoot’s Macbeth”.
Courtney was seen as Amy in the 2007 movie “Born in the USA”, before she guest-starred in the series’ “Grey’s Anatomy”, “CSI: Miami” and “Criminal Minds”, concurrently with her roles in the movies “Mob Rules”, “Prowl”, and “Revan” from 2008 through 2010.
In the following years, Courtney starred in the movie “Swelter”, and next she was seen in the series’ “Motivate Me”, “NCIS” and “Bones” before 2016, when she was cast to play Beth Wilder in “Quantum Break”, followed by her most notable role for now, as Sally Spectra in “The Bold and the Beautiful”. Since 2020, Courtney has portrayed Sally Spectra in “The Young and the Restless”.
Who is Chad Duell?
Chad is an actor with less than 10 credits to his name, perhaps known best for his role as Michael Corinthos in the series “General Hospital”, which brought him four nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, while in 2015 he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
He was born under the zodiac sign of Virgo on 14 September 1987, in Sioux City, Iowa USA and was raised by his parents who moved often, at first living in Chicago Heights, Illinois, while later they lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Chad attended the Desert Mountain High School.

Upon matriculating in 2005, he moved to Los Angeles, California, and launched his acting career.
Chad’s acting career
Chad made his acting debut in 2008, portraying Ronald Longcape Junior in the series “Wizards of Waverly Place”, followed by his role in “The Suite Life on Deck” before in 2010 being cast to play his most notable role to date, as Michael Corintos in “General Hospital”, which is on-going.
Concurrently, he’s been seen as Adam Kenway in “The Bay” in 2017, made his first big-screen appearance as Jack in the 2018 movie “A Friend’s Obsession”, and has also guest-starred in series’ “The Agency” and “Arrow” in 2020.
Courtney’s and Chad’s relationship
The two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at the party in 2016, at the time Courtney was auditioning for the role in “General Hospital”, thus Chad was giving her some advice. She spoke for Soap Opera Digest about that night saying:
‘”I wasn’t even going to go! I had been working all day and I was really tired. My mom convinced me to go, and I’m glad she did because I don’t think I would’ve met him otherwise!’
The funny thing is that she was auditioning for Chad’s character’s love interest, and although she didn’t get the role, she did get the guy in real life, since they soon started dating.
After five years of dating, Courtney posted on Instagram an announcement about her and Chad’s engagement, and showed her gorgeous engagement ring, saying that Chad is ‘a dream come true’. She shared with her followers that Chad proposed to her on Valentine’s Day, during their romantic picnic.
For the magazine People, she was saying how excited she was about their future, their plans about having children together, and creating memories, adding that she enjoyed every day spent with Chad.
He was just as excited about their future marriage, and in one of his interviews said: ‘It’s fun to say fiancée and plan a wedding, it’s a whole new step and a lot of excitement for our future. I’ll get to call her my wife! I’m excited for a lot…’
On 23 October 2021, the two walked down the aisle in the presence of their families, friends, and fellow actors – the wedding was ‘Till Death’-themed and held in Malibu, California USA, Courtney wearing a red-black dress, and Chad had his suit in the same colors.
The divorce
Although it all seemed like a fairytale for these two, the love story ended after just eight weeks of marriage, with people surprised by Chad’s declaration that they weren’t actually married. He said in his interview for the ‘State of Mind’ channel: ‘It’s a complicated situation, and it’s not what anybody thinks, we didn’t actually sign anything. We weren’t really, like, you know, married or anything, really. It was amicable, kind of just that.’

The first signs of ‘trouble in paradise’ were their Instagram accounts, after they both deleted their joint photos, and after they announced their separation, but added that they are still friends and that it was a mutual decision.
Maybe some of you didn’t know, but this wasn’t Chad’s first marriage; back in 2012 he was married to actress Taylor Novack, perhaps known best for her role in the movie “Treehouse”, but this marriage had also been short-lived – they married in September, but had separated by the end of the same year, apparently annulling the marriage, with Chad saying that ‘it was too soon’.
Speaking about Courtney’s love life, this was her first marriage (if we could call it so), she hasn’t spoken about her previous relationships before she started dating Chad, so as of April 2022, it seems that she’s single, so is Chad.
What is Courtney doing now?
According to her Instagram posts, Courtney is focused on her career, with an army of her followers whose number counts over 165,000, enjoying her photos featuring her travels, her dogs, and her fitness training.
This 32-year-old actress, whose trademark is her red hair and piercing blue eyes, takes care of her body by working out and training every day; she weighs around 130lbs (59kgs) and is 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall, with vital statistics of 33-24-34.
She is a fitness instructor too, and she also likes kick-boxing and yoga, while she’s enjoyed dancing from an early age.
