Shaun So is an American military veteran and entrepreneur, having served as an intelligence analyst for the US Department of Defense and later started his own The So Company. However, Shaun is probably best known to the world as the husband of American actress Anna Chlumsky.

His next position was as a defense contractor for McNeil Technologies, from July 2006 to March 2009. Furthermore, he served as a tactical intelligence team sergeant.

Entrepreneurial Career

Once he was out of military service, Shaun started thinking about starting his own company. The first such effort was the urban logistics start-up called Cubby in 2011.

He served as the company’s CEO from June 2011 until April 2012. However, his first company was a failure and closed before the first birthday celebration. He then started writing for the business magazine Forbes, combining topics such as army veterans, business, and entrepreneurship. Shaun next launched The So Company, which is a consulting firm that provides content, usability, and software development services to government agencies and private sector organizations. Some of the company’s clients include the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Shaun and Anna met while they both were students at the University of Chicago in 2000. He spent two years in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2006 but their love beat all the hardships the long-distance between them had put. After his safe return in January 2006 and in May of the same year, he proposed to her. Anna eventually took their engagement to the public in October of 2007 and the wedding ceremony took place in Brooklyn, New York on 8 March 2008, privately with only family members and a few close friends in attendance.
