Who is Yerin Ha?

Australian actress Yerin Ha was born under the zodiac sign Cancer on 26 June 1995, in Sydney, New South Wales Australia. She has just six acting credits, and is perhaps known best for portraying Kwan Ha in nine episodes of the action science fiction adventure series “Halo”, which starred Natasha Culzac, Shabana Azmi and Pablo Schreiber, and was created by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane. Set in the 26th century, the series follows a war between humans and aliens, and it won four of its seven award nominations.

Education and early life

Yerin was raised in Sydney by her Korean parents whom she prefers to keep away from media as she respects their privacy; her father’s said to be a doctor and her mother a dentist but this is yet to be addressed by Yerin. She’s also believed to be an only child as she’s yet to talk about having siblings.

Yerin attended Kaywon High School of Arts in Seoul, South Korea, and became passionate about acting during her time there, however, she made a promise to her parents that she wouldn’t pursue a career in the film industry until she’d graduated from college; a couple of other activities which Yerin was into during her teenage years were singing, dancing and playing volleyball.

She matriculated in 2014 and then enrolled at Sydney’s National institute of Drama Art, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre in 2018.

Yerin’s appeared in only two films. In 2016, she played Dancer in the short music video “Fluir & Jesse Marantz: I Gotta Have You”, which starred Laura Field, Toby Derrick and Devon Campbell, and was directed by Anna McGrath.

The year 2022 saw her play Tracey in the horror comedy “Sissy”, which starred Emily De Margheriti, Hannah Barlow and Aisha Dee, and was directed by Kane Senes and Hannah Barlow. It follows Emma and Cecilia who were best friends as teenagers, and have run into each other after a decade; the film won four of its 11 award nominations.

Roles in TV series

Yerin’s debut TV series role was playing Technie Jane in six episodes of the 2019 crime drama “Reef Break”, which starred Desmond Chiam, Ray Stevenson and Poppy Montgomery, and was created by Ken Sanzel. It follows the life of ‘fixer’ Cat Chambers, who’s currently working for the governor of Pacific Island.

In 2022, Yerin played Ah Rah in seven episodes of the crime thriller “Troppo”, which starred Ling Cooper Tang, Nicole Chamoun and Thomas Jane, and was created by Yolanda Ramke. It follows a disgraced former police officer Ted Conkaffey who’s been accused of a disturbing crime – the series was nominated for a 2022 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award for Best Sound in Television.

Yerin’s only other TV series role has been playing Alice in all four episodes of the 2023 mini-series “Bad Behaviour”, starring alongside Jana McKinnon and Markella Kavenagh. It follows a group of teenage girls as they’re exploring friendships and their sexualities at their boarding school’s wilderness campus – the series was nominated for three awards.

Presence on the internet

Yerin doesn’t have an Instagram account but has allowed for her fans account to be created; it’s today followed by close to 4,500 people, but numbers only 11 pictures and videos posted onto it; most of these feature Yerin shooting for her TV series and movies, giving interviews and spending time with friends.

She’s followed by nearly 80,000 people on Twitter, and has tweeted more than 1,000 times since the launch of her Twitter account in December 2021; Yerin’s mostly into sharing pictures taken during her everyday life.

She doesn’t seem to be active on TikTok but is nevertheless popular on the network thanks to other users who’ve shared videos of her, and all of these combined have been watched millions of times.

Yerin’s Facebook page is today followed by only close to 400 people, with all her posts combined numbering nearly 400 likes; her most recent update was on 11 May 2020, when she shared a picture featuring her dancing.

Yerin shies away from talking about her love life on the internet, and most of her fans believe that she isn’t interested in romance as she’s currently focused on her career, but there are also those who think otherwise.

Some of her fans believe that she’s perhaps lesbian and is trying to keep this is a secret; several people on the internet have claimed that they’ve seen a girl resembling Yerin spending time with her girlfriend in Los Angeles, California but this hasn’t been addressed by Yerin.

It’s also believed that she’s today dating a non-celebrity American man of Korean descent, as there are also those who claim to have seen Yerin spending time with the man on multiple occasions, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

Yerin seems to be single as of December 2023, doesn’t have children and hasn’t married.

Yerin enjoys being physically active and does yoga nearly every day, while she also takes dance lessons, works out at the gym and runs nearly every morning.

Yerin’s a philanthropist and has donated money to a couple of Korean charities aiming to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children.

Yerin’s passionate about reading, and one of her favorite authors is Nicholas Sparks, with her favorite book being “The Choice”.
