Who is Sierra McCormick?

American actress and movie producer Sierra McCormick was born in Asheville, North Carolina USA, on 28 October 1997, making her zodiac sign Scorpio. She’s had roles in nearly 40 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for playing the lead character Fay Crocker in the 2019 science fiction mystery movie “The Vast of Night”, written and directed by Andrew Patterson, and which also starred Jake Horowitz and Gail Cronauer. It follows a radio DJ and a switchboard operator who’ve discovered a strange audio frequency; the movie won 12 of its 56 award nominations.

Education and early life

Sierra and her younger sister Kayla McCormick were raised in Palm Springs, California by their parents; Sierra hasn’t shared a lot about her mother and father, but it’s believed that they are both in one way or another involved in the film industry.

She became interested in acting at a very early age, and having noticed her passion, her parents moved the family to Los Angeles, California. Sierra was only nine when she made her debut TV series appearance in the 2007 episode “Summer of Love” of the romantic comedy “’Til Death”, and has been acting ever since.

Sierra could then have been seen appearing in the 2016 thriller “Twister Sisters”, the 2017 short thriller “In the Shadows”, and the 2018 family drama “The Christmas Trap”, playing lead characters in all three.

The year 2018 also saw her portray Charlotte in the drama “The Honor List’, directed by Elissa Down, and which starred Meghan Rienks, Sasha Pieterse and Karrueche Tran; it tells the story of four friends as they’re completing the items on their bucket lists.

Sierra’s three most recent film roles have been in the 2019 action crime horror “VFW”, the 2021 mystery horror “We Need to Do Something”, and the 2022 thriller “Exploited”. She’s currently shooting for the movies “The Nana Project”, “I Don’t Want to Drink Your Blood Anymore” and “Burnouts”.

Back in 2014, she spent a couple of months dating Jake Short, whom she met on the set of the series “A. N. T. Farm”; Jake’s appeared in nearly 30 movies and TV series, and besides his performance in the mentioned series, he’s also known for playing Mattie Sullivan in the 2020 sports comedy series “The First Team”.

Sierra’s a philanthropist, and today supports the movement Black Lives Matter, while she’s also fighting for abortion rights.
