Who is Robb Wells?

Canadian actor, screenwriter and comedian Robert Christopher ‘Robb’ Wells was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on 20 March 1971, making his zodiac sign Pisces. He’s had roles in over 60 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Ricky, one of the lead characters in the crime comedy series “Trailer Park Boys”, created by Mike Clattenburg, and which also starred John Paul Tremblay and Mike Smith. It follows three felons as they’re making a documentary about their lives in a trailer park, the series aired from 2001 to 2018 and won four of its 26 award nominations.

Education and early life

Robb was raised in Moncton by his mother and father, about whom he hasn’t shared a lot because he’s respective of their privacy; it’s believed that his father worked for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as a forensic expert, and that believed that Robb doesn’t have siblings, as he hasn’t spoken of having any. When Robb was eight, the family moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

He was focused on his education while growing up, and only became interested in comedy when he was around 15 years old, and cast to appear in a play performed at his high school. Robb also enjoyed playing various sports during his teenage years, excelling in ice hockey.

It follows a homeless vigilante as he’s hunting down corrupt police officers and pedophile Santas with his shotgun, and the movie won one of its five award nominations. Robb was then cast to appear in the 2012 horror thriller “Would You Rather”, the 2013 adventure comedy drama “Jackhammer”, and the 2014 romantic comedy “Relative Happiness”.

He starred as John Andrew in the 2017 short drama “Pearls”, and as Ricky in the 2017 short musical comedy “Bubbles and the Shitrockers – Feat. Alex Lifeson: Who’s Got Yer Belly”.

One of Robb’s most recent film roles has been his portrayal of John Andrew in the 2021 drama “Dawn, Her Dad & the Tractor”, written and directed by Shelly Thompson, and in which Robb starred alongside Maya V. Henry and Amy Groening. It follows a transgender woman who’s returned home following her mother’s death, and has seen her father and sister for the first time since her gender change.

Robb’s debut TV series role came in 2011, when cast to play various characters in the comedy “Drunk and on Drugs Happy Funtime Hour”; he starred in the series alongside John Paul Tremblay and Jay Baruchel, which follows three men who’ve ingested an hallucinogenic substance created by scientist Doctor Funtime.

Robb was then cast to play and voice characters in the animated action comedy “Archer” (voice role), the comedy “Fried on the Ferry”, and the comedy “Shows We Can’t Afford to Make Yet”.

Between 2015 and 2017, he portrayed the lead character Ricky in the comedy “Gettin’ Learnt with Ricky”, which also starred John Dunsworth and Patrick Roach, and follows Ricky who’s working at a tool shop, and is teaching his fans ‘awesome life hacks’.

Robb received special thanks for the 2017 crime movie “Black Cop”.
