Ralph is of Haitian ancestry, since his parents are Haitian immigrants. Although born in New York City, Ralph grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and holds dual citizenship. From an early age, he started drawing concept vehicles, and as the years passed, his interest increased, and his talent developed, which eventually resulted in one of his sketches being sent by an aunt to the famed Lee Iacocca, who was Chrysler Chairman, when Ralph was 14 years old. He received a reply from Chrysler’s design chief K. Neil Walling, in which he suggested that Ralph enroll at a design school.

After finishing high school, Ralph enrolled at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and in 1992 graduated with a B.F.A. degree. After that, he immediately joined Chrysler Corporation as a designer, and rose quickly in the company to be promoted six years later to the position of a manager. He also continued his education in 2000, earning an Executive MBA from Michigan State University in 2002.

Little by little, Ralph’s work started becoming noticed, as he was eventually responsible for relaunching Magnum, Chrysler 300 luxury sedan – 2005’s North American Car of the Year – and Charger, the sales of which boosted the company’s revenue, and certainly earned Ralph respect, and another promotion, plus significantly boosting his net worth.

Since 2005 he has been director of product design, and vice-president of the Jeep/Truck and Component design, while since April 2015 he has been Head of Design for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which has certainly contributed to his net worth to a large degree. His worth and the respect in which Ralph is held is perhaps indicated by his inclusion in “Abstract: the Art of Design” aired on Netflix in 2017, a docu-series covering persons who are described as ‘artists in the field of design’.

Ralph is still remembered for describing now President Donald Trump as ‘full of shit’ during the 2012 presidential campaign, when the latter claimed that Chrysler production would be transferred to China.

Regarding his personal life, Ralph is married to Doris, however, further details about their marriage are unknown to the media.
