Peter Erling Jacobsen was born on 4 March 1954, in Portland, Oregon USA, and is a professional golf player and commentator, best known for playing on the PGA Tour as well as the Champions Tour. Peter attended Lincoln High School, and after matriculating went to the University of Oregon. He played golf at the school, and after winning the Oregon Open in 1976, turned professional.
