Paul Weller Net Worth $10 Million

Paul Weller is the son of Ann, a part-time cleaner, and John Weller, a taxi driver and a builder. He went to Maybury County First School, and was introduced to The Beatles, Small Faces, and The Who before moving to the Sheerwater County Secondary school. In the meantime, Paul started playing guitar, and after seeing a Status Quo concert in 1972, he formed a band called The Jam with Steve Brookes and Dave Waller.

Weller played bass, Brookes was lead guitar, while Waller played rhythm guitar, and Paul’s father acted as their manager. He actually helped them to book gigs at the local working men’s clubs, but soon after, Dave Waller left, while Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton joined on drums and rhythm guitar respectively. The Jam became well known as a cover band; primarily they played Beatles songs, and Weller’s and Brookes’ compositions too. Brookes left in 1976 and Paul became the lead guitar after switching with Foxton, and in 1977, The Jam released their debut studio album entitled “In the City”. The album consisted of 12 songs, ten of which were written by Weller, and reached No. 20 on the UK Albums chart. After only seven months, the band made their second album, “This Is the Modern World”, which peaked at the No. 22 on UK Albums Chart and achieved silver status in the UK.

The Jam stayed busy, and the following year released their third album entitled “All Mod Cons” that reached No. 6 on the UK Albums chart, and achieved the gold status. By 1982, the band had recorded three more albums: “Setting Sons” (1979), “Sound Affects” (1980), and “The Gift” (1982), all of which reached the top five on the UK Albums chart. That success helped Weller to increase his net worth significantly, but he decided to leave and experience a different kind of music.

In 1983, Weller and keyboardist Mick Talbot formed the new band called The Style Council, and they brought in Dee C. Lee and Steve White to help them out with the project. Their debut album “Introducing The Style Council” (1983) went rather unnoticed, but the next one, “Café Bleu” (1984), was way more successful as it peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums and No. 56 on Billboard 200 charts. In 1985, they released “Our Favourite Shop”, which topped the UK Albums chart and had over 100,000 sales in the UK alone, achieving gold status. The Style Council made two more albums “The Cost of Loving” (1987) and “Confessions of a Pop Group”, and then Weller started his solo career.

Paul recorded four albums in the ‘90s, and they surely improved his wealth, while he was even busier in the 2000s as he released five more albums – “Wake Up the Nation” in 2010, “Saturns Pattern” in 2015, and most recently, “A Kind Revolution” in 2017.

Regarding his personal life, Paul Weller was married to a former band colleague Dee C. Lee from 1987 to 1998 and has two children with her. Paul has another daughter from a brief relationship with a make-up artist Lucy, and then he was involved with Samantha Stock, with whom has two children. After they broke up in 2008, Weller married Hannah Andrews in 2010 and has two sons with her.
