Early life and education
Danielle was born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 24 November 1973, in Ashtabula, Ohio USA; she holds American nationality although she comes from a family of African-American and Latino descent. She was raised alongside her brother Rick, in a hard-working family by her parents Richard Diggs and Patricia Rose.
Danielle was into gymnastics from an early age, and her family moved to southern California to provide her gymnastic training, however, although she competed and was successful in this sport, she eventually decided that her dream job was acting.
She attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1991, she didn’t enroll at college but started auditioning, dreaming about a big acting career.

Danielle made her acting debut in 1991, as Vonda Mahoney in three episodes of the series “Family Matters”, followed by her role as Verla in the 1992 TV mini-series “The Jacksons: An American Dream”, and then three years later, she was seen as Rita in “Step by Step”.
In the following years, Danielle guest-starred in numerous series, such as “Diagnosis Murder”, “In the House” and “Brimstone”, while in 1996 she was cast to play Caryn in the comedy drama series “3rd Rock from the Sun”, also starring John Lithgow, Jane Curtin and Kristen Johnston, Danielle appearing in over 40 episodes from 1996 through 2001.
