Mobb Deep is a hip-hop and rap duo consisting of Albert Johnson and Kejuan Muchita, better known as Prodigy and Havoc. The duo has been one of the more popular hip-hop artists during the 90s and early 2000s, selling numerous albums like “The Infamous” and “Hell on Earth”. These two albums are considered classics by the community and they’ve sold over three million copies of all of their music amounting to a significant net worth increase.

The album displayed a very gritty and violent take on rap detailing their experiences in New York. II”, and is considered one of the best songs during that era of rap and hip-hop. In 1996, they released their third album entitled “Hell on Earth”, which debuted at number six on the Billboard charts. Their next album “Murda Musik” experienced leaks on the internet resulting in delays, but when released it debuted in the number three spot on the Billboard charts and soon found its way into a platinum record. In 2003 the group decided to split with Loud Records and was picked up by Jive Records.
