Additionally, he was a writer of the series ‘’Good Times’’. He passed away in 2006.

In the mentioned series, which won eight Golden Globes and was additionally rewarded with numerous awards such as Primetime Emmy, DGA Award, Humanitas Prize and OFTA TV Hall of Fame, Mike’s’ was a recurring character through 1975. When it comes to his personal life, Evans was married to Helena Jefferson from January 1976, until her death in 2002 from breast cancer. However, Mike’s successful career ended with his death caused by throat cancer at the age of 57 in 2006, at his mother’s home located in Twentynine Palms, California.
