Who is Michelle Renaud?
Michelle Renaud Ruesga was born in Mexico City, on 9 September 1988 – her zodiac sign is Virgo, and she holds Mexican nationality. She’s an actress, who’s appeared in close to 20 movies and TV series, while she’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of the main character Yameli Montoya, in the 2019 drama series “La Reina Soy Yo”. It was created by Andres Salgado, also starred Lambda Garcia and Mane De La Parra, and follows Yameli who spent 17 years in a US prison after she was wrongfully convicted, and is now seeking revenge; the series was nominated for five awards.

Early life, family and education
Michelle was raised in Mexico City by her parents, about whom nothing’s known as she respects their privacy; it’s said that her father was a school janitor, and that her mother worked as a cashier at a local supermarket.
Michelle became interested in acting when she was around eight years old, and started watching telenovelas with her parents. She enrolled at a local high school in 2002, and joined its drama club, appearing in various plays performed at the school. Michelle was 16 when she launched her acting career, with her portrayal of Michelle Pineda in two episodes of the popular family comedy series “Rebelde”. It aired from 2004 to 2006, starred Jorge Ponce, Estefania Villarreal and Anahi, and follows six teenagers who are attending a private high school, and all are passionate about music.
Michelle matriculated in 2006, and then chose not to pursue a college degree, but to focus on her acting career.
Roles in TV series
In 2009, Michelle made a guest appearance in the episode “La Tarjeta” of the romantic drama “Verano de Amor”, and the same year saw her play the supporting character Betina Montenegro, in the romantic drama “Camaleones”. It starred Edith Gonzalez, Mario Moreno del Moral and Queta Lavat, and follows the man known as el Amo, who’s threatening to kill Valentina and Sebastiao if they don’t steal jewels for him.
Michelle then made a guest appearance in a 2010 episode of the drama “La Rosa de Guadalupe”, then in 2010 and 2011, she starred as Lorena Fonseca in all 200 episodes of the romantic drama “Llena de Amor”; the series also starred Eduardo Linan and Cecilia Gabriela, and follows the young woman Marianela who’s secretly in love with her cousin.

Michelle has appeared in only a single movie: in 2011, she played the supporting character Paula in the drama “Momentos”. It was written and directed by Rodrigo Arnaz, starred Alexis Ayala, Sharis Cid and Natasha Dupeyron, and follows the life of Fernando, a teenager who’s dreaming about becoming an author.

In November 2016, she married the Mexican politician Josue Alvarado, in a private ceremony attended by only the closest of their friends and family members; on 12 March 2017, Michelle gave birth to their son Marcelo Alvarado Renaud, but in 2018, Josue and Michelle divorced for unknown reasons.
In 2019, Michelle started dating Danilo Carrera, a famous Ecuadorian model, actor and TV presenter, who has appeared in close to 20 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for his portrayal of Omar Cifuentes, in the 2020 drama series “Vencer el Miedo”. The two were together for over year, and it is said that they broke up because Danilo was unfaithful, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
