Early life, family, and education
Mica was raised in Sherman Oaks, California alongside her brother Eian Burton Smith, by their parents Stephanie Cozart who is a professional make-up artist, and father LeVar Burton, who is an actor, director, and children’s television host, perhaps best known for his roles as Kunta Kinte in the series “Roots”, and as Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge in “Star Trek: The Next Generation”.
Mica attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2012 enrolled at the Theatre and Dance School of the University of Michigan, from which she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Theatre.
Career
Mica had dreamt about becoming famous for a long time, however, it all began when she made her first appearance in the television game show “On the Spot” alongside her father. After that she appeared in the series “Let’s Play Minecraft”, followed by her role as Jules in the movie “Lazer Team”, a science fiction action comedy starring Michael Jones, Burnie Burns and Gavin Free, which was nominated for the Streamy Award Best Feature. Mica was a member of the “Rooster Teeth” company for several years, and worked as an editor, a co-host, and head of streaming at the “Achievement Hunter” video gaming site.
In the television mini-series “The Eleven Little Roosters”, she portrayed The Ministry of Moose, followed by her appearance in the series “Rooster Teeth Shorts”, and her role as Concert Fan in the short movie “Ninja Sex Party: Danny Don’t You Know”.
In the following years, she had roles in the series “Narrative Telephone” and in the “Overwatch League”. Her most recent role as Delilah was in the episode “Isolated” of the series “Vampire: The Masquerade: L. A. By Night”.
Mica is no longer an employee at the “Rooster Teeth” company, since 3 June 2020, when she publicly spoke about her decision to leave; the reason was, as she said ‘the company’s lack of support for her during the period of online harassment.’
Mica subsequently moved to Los Angeles to pursue her cosplaying, modeling, and acting career.

Mica has her eponymous YouTube channel, launched on 8 January 2014, however, there are no videos uploaded, or they may be deleted, but she still has over 2,500 subscribers on this channel.
Love life and relationships
There were various rumors concerning Mica’s love life and sexual orientation, however, she is openly talking about her bisexual orientation, as she said she loves people no matter what gender they are.
She was dating her girlfriend, known as Minnie Mooncos, back in 2017; they both enjoy cosplaying, so Mica was posting pictures of the two of them in cosplay costumes kissing and hugging, with the description ‘look at my beautiful girlfriend! I love her!’ There is no information about them still being together.
However, there is some gossip circulating the internet about her relationship with another cosplay girl known as Jessica; Mica posted a picture on her Instagram account featuring the two of them hugging, although she hasn’t spoken about this woman or any others (women or men).
As of October 2021, Mica seems to be single, she hasn’t been married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Mica’s favorite hobby from an early age is horse riding, and was so happy to share with her fans when her own horse arrived in the barn, which was her wish for a long time- its name is Aragorn.
