Clara Galle is a 21-year-old Spanish actress, social media personality, and model, probably best known for starring in the movies “A través de mi ventana” or “Through My Window” and “A través del mar” or “Through My Window: Across the Sea”.
Early life
Clara Huete Sánchez was born on 15 April 2002, in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain. According to her Noticias de Navarra interview, she chose “Galle” as part of her stage name to honor her great-grandfather, José Galle, who grew up in a family of doctors, but broke the pattern and pursued his passion for photography. Clara said in her interview with Cosmopolitan that she has a brother. She wanted to act from a young age, and her first audition was for the movie “No tengas miedo” or “Don’t Be Afraid,” which was released in 2011. She was seven during casting, and sensed that she was on the right path despite not getting a role. Clara also did rhythmic gymnastics as a child.
Early education, source of career
At 16, Clara searched ‘advertising agencies’ on Google and found Salvador, an agency based in Madrid, Spain; two months later, she signed a contract with parental permission.
Clara matriculated from Instituto de Educación Secundaria Plaza de la Cruz (Plaza de la Cruz Institute of Secondary Education) in Pamplona. Shortly afterwards, Clara planned on attending Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Complutense University of Madrid) to study Design in Fine Arts. She initially wanted to study at Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Royal Higher College of Performing Arts) in Madrid, but felt that the entrance exams were challenging.
Clara ultimately enrolled in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Autonomous University of Madrid) to study audiovisual design but dropped out. In her El Pais magazine interview from June 2023, Clara stated that she was pursuing a degree in art history. In her Revista Vanity Fair interview, she clarified that she’d become a Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (National University of Distance Education) student.
Career
Clara started her career as a model in April 2019, when she appeared in the Tous Christmas campaign alongside American actress Emma Roberts. Shortly afterwards, she modeled for the campaign for Andorran tourism, and was in a commercial for Fanta. She said that her schedule was hectic and that she traveled between Pamplona and Madrid almost constantly, at least once a week. In 2021, Clara appeared in the music video for Sebastián Yatra’s song “Tacones Rojos” or “Red High Heels.”
Clara debuted in acting in February 2022 by playing Raquel in the Netflix-produced Spanish romantic comedy movie “Through My Window.” It was based on the story of the same name by Ariana Godoy, which she posted in chapters on the Wattpad.com website for original and fan-made stories. She starred alongside Julio Peña, who played Ares Hidalgo, the next-door neighbor whom Raquel is secretly in love with.
According to Screen Daily, Clara did not plan on auditioning; instead, she was practicing the lines alongside her friend, who wanted a role. That friend later suggested that she had learned the lines anyway, and the casting director, then the movie director, liked her approach to the character. Clara told Revista Vanity Fair that she walked roughly 30,000 steps at home, according to her Health mobile application, while waiting to hear if she got the role.
New role and sequel
Clara’s renown led her to be cast in the second season of the “El Internado: Las Cumbres” or “The Boarding School: Las Cumbres” series by Amazon Prime Video. She didn’t reprise her role in the third season when the series ended but wasn’t distraught. That’s because Netflix had announced two sequels when the first movie premiered. According to Europapress, Clara had finished filming both sequels before the first, “Through My Window: Across the Sea,” aired on 23 June 2023.
Clara has amassed over 3.9 million followers on her Instagram account, claaragalle. Early in her career, Clara became the face of the Cachet brand and was sponsored by brands such as Arizona Vintage, Nyx, Pull&Bear, and Kaotiko. She later used it to share behind-the-scenes information from movie sets, press events, pictures, and videos of her friends.
Her following grew significantly in September 2023, when The Sun UK reported that Clara attended the soccer match between Osasuna and Sevilla in the La Liga league without a brassiere. That was problematic because she wore a tight grey shirt, and the lack of a bra showed her pierced nipples. Clara stated the following day that she had no idea that her nipples would be visible. Instead, her only goal was to promote her favorite club, which she had been cheering for in person since childhood.
Plans
In December 2023, Netflix announced the name of the second sequel, “A través de tu mirada” or “Through My Window: Looking at You”, and its release date, 23 February 2024. Raquel and Ares will spend their summer break with friends in Costa Brava, Catalonia, Spain in the new movie. According to Screen Rant, the first sequel was critiqued for lacking a gripping story, captivating characters, and focusing on overly emotional romance, all issues that Netflix reportedly addressed. However, despite visiting picturesque locations, Clara told Vogue Spain that she filmed many scenes at night, and only visited the Costa Brava beach during work, primarily because she was exhausted.
Clara told Noticias de Navarra in late January 2024 that she has a plan for her career, but not a strict one. She revealed that her first step involves playing Greta in the “Ni una más” or “Not one more” television series in 2024 or 2025. Additionally, she started filming the science fiction film “Penumbra” in late 2023. Clara also plans to accept unusual projects because she wants to ‘jump into the mud and do crazy things this year.’

Unknown ex-boyfriend
In her Cosmopolitan interview, Clara admitted to having only one boyfriend before age 20. In her Revista Vanity Fair interview from February 2022, she revealed that her boyfriend knew his way around Museo del Prado in Madrid and that both loved visiting museums. She told Glamour Spain in June 2023 that she was single.
Rumored boyfriend, Julio Peña
Clara has allegedly started dating her “Through The Window” co-star Julio Peña in 2022. They told 24NewsRecorder that they didn’t know each other before joining the project, but almost immediately realized how similar they were. In her Glamour Spain interview, Clara noted that the main difference is that she’s not a flirter or seductive, while Julio is. Moreover, she stated that their friendship started unusually; they went from not knowing each other to filming a sex scene in a few days. However, Clara and Julio quickly concluded that their relationship was ‘more valuable than love or boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.’ She explained that they could go two months without talking, and then spend days together. Julio agreed that he wouldn’t change anything regarding their relationship then.
However, the two posed as a couple in love while modeling for Armani Beauty and promoting San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain in late 2022 and 2023. Furthermore, in some photos that they shared via Instagram, Clara had her hands around his neck while Julio embraced her tightly. She also slept on his chest during filming breaks, and during press events, Julio sometimes got close to her face as if he wanted to kiss her cheeks or forehead. According to the celebrity gossip and photo-sharing website JustJared, they kissed during the 2022 movie premiere, and seemed in disbelief, as if they did something that they shouldn’t.
