MC Eiht Net Worth $400,000 Dollars

Growing up in the poor neighbourhood of Compton, California, Eiht’s parents separated when he was young. Eiht originally attended a Catholic school, but after his expulsion he was transferred to Compton’s public school system. He spent his younger years fitting-in by joining gangs and selling illegal drugs on the streets. Soon, Eiht realized that this isn’t the life that he wanted and he started writing songs.

Eiht was inspired by the group N.W.A. or “Niggaz Wit Attitude”. Comprised of hip hop artists Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and MC Ren, the group was also from Compton, and was one of the pioneers of the genre “Gangsta Rap” or “Reality Rap”, with which Eiht was able to relate. Eiht also formed his own group, calling themselves “Compton’s Most Wanted” or CMW, whom he created with friends and fellow artists including DJ Slip, Unknown DJ, Chill MC, DJ Mike T.

CMW released their first single in 1989 entitled “Rhymes Too Funky”, and eventually their first album in 1990, “It’s a Compton Thang!” The album experienced minor success, but gave the group credibility and following. Eventually the album was recognized by Hollywood, and one of their songs – “Growin’ Up in the Hood” – was even featured in the movie “Boyz N The Hood” featuring Cuba Gooding, Jr. Laurence Fishburne, and in which Eiht also appeared in a cameo role.

As a consequence of being included in the film, the group gained a significant following, and released another album entitled “Straight Checkn ‘Em”. The album was also a minor success and helped Eiht and his groups’ net worth, but his breakthrough came in the movie “Menace II Society”, a film about the real situation of teens growing up in the hood, and which was well received by fans and critics because of the movies portrayal of real violence and profanity. Eiht was also included in the film, playing the role of A-Wax. Eiht’s song “Streiht Up Menace”, which was included in the films album, became wildly successful, catapulting him to success and tremendously helping his net worth.

From then on, Eiht has gone on to release a total of 12 albums, lending some of his songs to movies like “Tales From the Hood”, “New Jersey Drive” and “The Show”. Recently, Eiht was featured in Kendrick Lamar’s song “m.A.A.d. city” in 2012 and released his own album “Which Way Iz West”.

When it comes to MC Eiht’s personal life, he certainly keeps it private with no public information on relationships, but he has also kept to the straight and narrow with the law since his youth.
