Max Kellerman Net Worth $6 Million
Max was born the eldest of the four brothers in the Kellerman family. He grew up in Greenwich Village, New York where he later went to Hunter College High School. He then graduated with a degree in history from Columbia College. His first experience in broadcasting was on a New York City television cable TV program about professional boxing called “Max on Boxing”, which caught the attention of the boxing community. Upon his college graduation, Max was hired as an analyst on ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights”. By 2002 he was hosting his own show and became the original host of “Around the Horn”.
These were significant bases to his net worth, however, in spite of the show’s huge popularity, Kellerman left the network in 2004 and started hosting a new show “I, Max” on Fox Sports Net. The following year, it was announced that Max would be a permanent contributor on “Tucker” show, which subsequently aired for three years before its cancellation in March 2008. For a while he did early morning audition shows for WEPN 1050 ESPN Radio, and began hosting the 10am to noon program on WEPN in October 2006. A year and a half later, the show was added to XM Radio on ESPN Xtra, and by the fall of 2008, the program was named “The Max Kellerman Show”. Kellerman also worked at HBO where he was originally hired for the network’s “Boxing After Dark” telecasts; however, in 2007, Max joined the HBO World Championship Boxing main team. In May 2010, he was hired by CNN for which he reported on sports and pop culture in the morning program. Later that year, he was appointed as the midday host at ESPNLA 710.
Apart from his career as a television host, Max also had acting ventures. He made a short appearance in “Rocky Balboa” (2006) as a part of the broadcast team who covered Rocky’s fight with Mason. He also played himself in “The Wedding Bout” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood” movies. These also added to Max’s net worth.
Kellerman’s private life was deeply affected by the murder of his brother, Sam Kellerman, in November 1974, when his body was found inside his apartment in Los Angeles; former boxer James Butler was convicted of Sam’s murder.
Max met his future wife Erin at college – they have three daughters.
