Who is Mason Thames?
American actor Mason Thames was born in the USA, on 10 July 2007, so Cancer’s his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in only two movies and three TV series, and is perhaps known best for playing Daniel Stevens in three episodes of the critically acclaimed 2019 science fiction series “For All Mankind”, which Ronald D. Moore and Ben Nevidi created, and which starred Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman and Wrenn Schmidt. Set in an alternate reality, the series follows the Soviet Union beating the USA to the Moon, and it won four of its 22 award nominations.
Education and early life
Mason and his sister Brooke-Madison Thames were raised in the US by their father Chad Thames and mother whose name’s yet to be disclosed; Chad’s highly supportive of his son’s career, which is why the family moved to Los Angeles, California and why he’s today managing Mason’s finances.
He studied at a local elementary school, and was seven when he became passionate about riding his bicycle; Mason was nine when he started performing tricks, however, upon launching his acting career at the age of 10, he chose to focus on acting and cut-down on cycling.
Mason enrolled at local high school in Los Angeles in 2021, and is set to matriculate in 2025.
Roles in movies
Mason’s debut film role was playing Liam in the 2017 short drama “After Omelas”, which Sean Peavy wrote and directed, and which starred Mason Thames, Aidan Singh and Liliana Torres; it tells the story of a fairy tale city, which can only be a fairy tale as long as two children are kept in eternal misery, darkness and filth, however, they’ve now escaped.
Mason’s only other film role has been playing the main character Finney in the critically acclaimed 2021 horror thriller “The Black Phone”, written and directed by Scott Derrickson, and which also stars Madeleine McGraw and Ethan Hawke. It follows a boy who’s been kidnapped by a serial killer, and the movie was nominated for 20 awards.
Mason’s currently shooting for two upcoming movies: he’s to play Noah in the adventure fantasy mystery “Boys of Summer”, which will star Mel Gibson and Lorraine Bracco, and will be playing a supporting character in an untitled project.

Roles in TV series
In 2020, Mason portrayed Robbie in the pilot episode of the biographical drama “Evel”, which starred Milo Ventimiglia, Sarah Gadon and David Krumholtz, and follows the life of daredevil Evel Knievel who performed his Snake River Canyon jump in the ‘70s.
Since 2021, Mason’s been portraying Young Walker in the popular crime action “Walker”, created by Anna Fricke, and which stars Jared Padalecki, Molly Hagan and Keegan Allen. It follows a widowed father who’s returned to Austin a year after his wife’s death, trying to reconnect with their children; the series won a ReFrame Stamp for IMDbPro Top 200 Most Popular TV Titles 2020-2021.

Mason was featured in a 2019 episode of the talk-show “Red Carpet Report”.
He made a guest appearance in the 2023 TV special “Hollywood Critics Association Awards”.
