Born Marisa Maquire Ramirez on 15 September 1977, in Los Angeles, California USA, she holds American nationality although she comes from a family of mixed ethnicity. Her father, Raymond, has Mexican roots, while her mother, Francine, has Scottish, English, Irish, French and Native American heritage.
