The world probably knows her best as the daughter of legendary American professional boxer Muhammad Ali, however, Laila also used her fists with a lot of success before she retired. Her second fight also ended in her favor, winning against Shadina Pennybaker by TKO. Her career developed, and this earned her a fight against Jackie Frazier-Lyde, a daughter of the retired boxer Joe Frazier. The fight happened on 8th June 2001; the fight got a title Ali\Frazier IV as a reference to their fathers’ history as famous boxers, fighting three times. Laila won this fight as well, however it was in eight rounds and by judges decision. This was the first pay-per-view match as a main event in women’s boxing.

Her career in boxing ended in 2007, her last fight was against Gwendolyn O`Neil, which she won in the first round by TKO.
