Lahna Turner is a musician, actress and stand-up comedian, perhaps best known for her roles in the movies “Teacher of the Year” and “Brand New Old Love”. She additionally came into the limelight as the better half of the comedian and actor Ralphie May, who passed away in 2017. Briefly About Ralphie May
Tennessee native Ralphie May was a fellow comedian and actor who gained popularity for his extensive touring and comedy specials on several platforms, including Netflix. He launched his career at the age of 17 after winning a comedy competition held by Sam Kinison, who also encouraged him to relocate to Houston to improve his skills as a comedian.
Ralphie matriculated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream, where he scooped a spot in the first season of the show “Last Comic Standing”, finishing in second place.
Soon after, he began doing various comedy shows, and appearing in TV shows such as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, and “The Wayne Brady Showy”. He also collaborated with Comedy Central in releasing several stand-up specials such as “Prime Cut” (2007), “Austin-tatious” (2008), and “Too Big to Ignore” (2012).

Ralphie’s health issues and death

In November 2011, he contracted viral pneumonia, resulting in a pulmonary embolism after a blood clot from his leg became stuck in an artery.
In October 2017, the world was shocked to find out that the beloved comedian had gone into cardiac arrest, and died at the age of 45. The official cause of death was a hypertensive cardiovascular disease caused by high blood pressure. Additionally, he had battled pneumonia for a prolonged period, and several other health issues.
