Kenny Anderson Net Worth $60 Million

Kenny Anderson was raised with two sisters in a very poor family, by mother Joan, who was an inspiration for him to pursue a professional career. He grew up in Queens, where he attended the elementary school. During his education there he started playing basketball, and so well that he already came to the attention of talent scouts. When he was 14 years old, Anderson attended Archbishop Molloy High School in New York City, soon becoming one of the best young basketball players in America. Through his studies and sports ability at high school, he won several times Parade All-American, and he was named High School Basketball Player of the Year and New York State Mr. Basketball, by the New York State Sportswriters Association and USA Today.

He then became a student at the Georgia Tech College, and while there Kenny became one of the best players, and together with Dennis Scot and Brian Oliver, led the team to the second round of the NCAA tournament. After two years at college, he decided to enter the NBA Draft in 1991, when he entered the NBA Draft, and was selected by the New Jersey Nets as a second overall pick, giving him a five year contract worth $14 million dollars, which increased his net worth by a large margin. He didn`t justify his draft position in his first season, as he averaged only seven points, two rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. However, in his second season, he doubled his numbers and in third season, he earned an All Star Game appearance, as he averaged 18.8 points, and 9.6 assists.

In 1996, Kenny was traded to the Charlotte Hornets, which immediately sent him to the Portland Trailblazers. He played for the Blaizers for two seasons, before he was traded to Toronto for the Rookie of the Year 1996 Damon Stoudamire, however, Kenny didn`t show up for the team meeting, as he didn`t want to play in Canada, and therefore was traded to Boston for Chauncey Billups. Still, his net worth was rising.

He stayed in Boston for four years, but couldn’t really make an impact on the team`s game, and in 2002 he became a free agent, signing with the Seattle Supersonics, however, his numbers dropped to only 6.1 points and 3.2 assists per game, and soon he was traded to the New Orleans Hornets. After brief stint with Hornets, he was then sent to the Indiana Pacers, where he played throughout 2003-2004 season. After the season ended he signed a contract with the Atlanta Hawks, but spent only half a season there, as he was sent to the Los Angeles Clippers.

During his career in the NBA, Kenny earned over $60 million from contracts, which was the main source of his net worth, however, because of his bad business investments and frivolous spending habits, his net worth suffered greatly and he was even near bankruptcy.

Following that half season with the Clippers, Kenny left the NBA, and signed with the European basketball club from Lithuania Zalgiris Kaunas, which further increased his net worth.

After 25 years, Kenny decided to retire from playing basketball, but not completely as he was appointed as coach of the Atlanta Krunk, which is a part of the Continental Basketball Association.

Furthermore in adding to his net worth, Kenny Anderson has also made a few TV appearances; in 2008, Kenny was a part of the reality game show “Pros vs. Joes”, and in 2015 he appeared in the reality TV show “Wake Up Call”, hosted by Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” .

Regarding his personal life, Kenny Anderson has been married several times, and he is the father of seven children. The first child he welcomed with his ex-girlfriend Dee Dee Roper. Afterwards, he married Tami Roman(1994-2001), with whom he has two daughters. His second wife was Tamiyka R. Lockhart(2002-04), and they have a son. Anderson met his third wife Natasha in the same year, and they married in 2007; the couple has a son, plus her daughter.
