Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo was born on 10 November 1982, in Montebelluna, Italy, the son of Count Alberto Passi de Preposulo and his wife, Barbara Bruni. His family history dates back to 973, but the family prominence began in the 1800s when they acquired painter Tiepolo’s properties, a massive 17th-century villa accompanied by a vast estate.

Their last name means ‘peace’, which was given to them after one of their ancestors, Count Ottopasso de Preposulo negotiated peace between two families at war, Guelf and Ghibelline. After this, he started being called ‘quelli de la pass’, which later became ‘I Pas’ and eventually ‘Passi’.

She’s the daughter of Jerri Renee Hastey (nee Chastain) and Michael Monasterio, a rock musician, however, she was estranged from her father until his death in 2013.
