Who is Jacob Scipio?
Born on 10th January 1993, Jacob Muntaz Scipio is an actor and writer from Islington, England. Of Indo-Guyanese and English ancestry, Jacob has been active in the industry practically since he was born, and has earned himself many fans along the way. The talented thespian is 5ft 11ins (1.80m) tall and weighs 170lbs (77kgs).
Jacob’s First Roles
At just one year old, Jacob graced our screen for the first times in the anthology series “Screen One”, which has been nominated for a total of 29 awards and won 16. Running for a total of 51 episodes between 1985 and 2002, the series was a great way for actors to showcase their talents and break into the industry.

Eight years later, we saw Jacob in the miniseries “White Teeth”, a comedy drama based around three families in multi-cultural England. Some stars from the 2002 series include Om Puri, James McAvoy, and Sophie Winkleman. Featuring a variety of characters from a Jamaican Jehovah’s witness to a Bangladesh family, “White Teeth” was well-received by audiences with an average online rating of 7.
Between 2006 and 2009, Jacob kept busy with work on series such as “Holby City”, in which he appeared in one episode as minor character Kris Slattery, and Disney’s “As the Bell Rings”, in which he brought to life the loveable character of Bip, working alongside future stars including Deniz Akdeniz.
One of Jacob’s main roles at a young age was playing Genie in CBeebies Christmas Pantomime of 2010, which was Aladdin. The popular family show, which is based each year on a different pantomime production, was directed that year by the skilled Jeanette Goulbourn, and also starred young talents such as Nisha Anil and Katy Ashworth.
The gaps in Jacob’s career can be attributed to the actor’s education: after finishing his primary school studies at St. Michael’s Church of England, he attended the Fortismere School in Highgate, and later studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in film and literature at the well-regarded University of Essex, graduating in 2015. Notable alumni of the University include several politicians such as Priti Patel and John Bercow, and director and scriptwriter David Yates of Harry Potter fame also studied there.
Jacob’s Notable Roles
Despite mostly being known for blockbuster “Bad Boys For Life”, Jacob has had several notable roles during his career. In 2019 he appeared in the gritty war movie “The Outpost”, about a group of American soldiers who fight against the Taliban in Afghanistan. The main actors were Orlando Bloom, Caleb Landry Jones, and Scott Eastwood, with Jacob playing a secondary role as SGT Justin Gallegos. The movie was based on Jake Tapper’s book “The Outpost: an Untold Story of American Valor”. Sadly, it barely raked in $2.3 million at the box office despite the $5 million budget.
The action-comedy production “Bad Boys For Life” was certainly Jacob’s big break after over twenty years in the acting world.
Starring big names such as Will Smith, Vanessa Hudgens, and Martin Lawrence, many celebrities such as DJ Khaled also joined the cast. Jacob played Armando Aretas, a vicious Miami drug lord who the main characters spent the whole movie trying to catch.
Fans enjoyed the fight scenes and soundtrack of this third installment in the “Bad Boys” franchise, which helped it become the highest-grossing movie released in January 2020, with worldwide box office revenue of $426 million against a $90 million budget. It’s not known if Jacob will be returning to the popular saga, but it’s more than likely given that the fourth, fifth, and even sixth movies are already being planned.
Jacob’s Personal Life
In April 2019, Jacob sent fans into frenzy with an Instagram snap of himself and a mystery woman, which was captioned “Ride wit me”. Many assumed the brunette beauty to be the actor’s girlfriend, but neither party confirmed nor denied the rumors.
We recently discovered her identity – in August 2021, Jacob tagged her in a series of Hawaiian vacation snaps: Liv Lovelle is the lucky lady in his life, an aspiring singer who regularly posts cute photos of the couple on her social media. There’s no doubt that the news broke many hearts, because Jacob is considered quite the heartthrob after his recent rise to fame.
As for Jacob’s private life and other friendships, we know very little about them because the actor keeps things professional on his Instagram. In fact, one of the last photos he uploaded with his friends was in November 2017. He does like to maintain his 85,000 plus followers updated regarding his acting career and newest projects, such as “Without Remorse”, a movie which came out in May 2021; he also posts behind-the-scenes snaps whenever he’s working.
The actor is even lowkey regarding his family, although in the past he’s mentioned having a brother and niece who he calls regularly to check up on.
From occasional videos, we also know that Jacob enjoys working out, and keeping in tip-top shape for his movie roles. One Instagram post was even captioned: “Fitness isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. Quick workout then on to the premiere of my new movie”, which shows how seriously Jacob takes his health and physique.
A cause close to Jacob’s heart is the fight against racism. Within the midst of the June 2020 George Floyd riots which took place around the world, Jacob encouraged his followers to keep marching, signing petitions, voting, and learning.
He also shared inspirational videos of Martin Luther King on his platform, and has previously spoken against racism in the UK.
Jacob’s Net Worth
Reliable sources confirm that Jacob’s net worth is over $1 million as of late 2021, amassing his seven-figure fortune over many if intermittent years in the industry, and having a loyal fanbase who support his every project. If Jacob returns to the “Bad Boys” franchise, his net worth is very likely to increase.
