Who is Skye Blue?

American professional wrestler Skye Dolecki – aka Sly Blue – was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 2 October 1999, meaning that Libra’s her zodiac sign. She’s currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), but has also wrestled in a number of other wrestling promotions; Sky’s perhaps known best for having been ZERO1 USA Women’s Champion, Chicago Style Wrestling (CSW) Women’s Champion and Global Professional Wrestling (GPW) Battle Royal Champion.

Education and early life

Skye was raised in Chicago by her parents, about whom not a lot has been disclosed because they want to stay away from media; Skye’s mother’s believed to be a former model, and her father the owner of his own small business.

Skye studied at a local high school, and became interested in wrestling during her four years there, while she was also into running track and playing volleyball. She was 17 when she began going to the gym, and found herself a wrestling coach around the same time.

Skye matriculated in 2017, and then focused on wrestling rather than going after a college degree.

Career as a professional wrestler

Skye launched her career in the independent circuit in Illinois on 7 April 2021, in a losing effort against Britt Baker at the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dark: Elevation.

She lost to Red Velvet at the AEW Dark on 3 September of the same year, and two days later, Skye made her debut in the All Out’s Casino Battle Royale. She faced and lost to Jade Cargill at AEW Rampage on 6 October 2021, and on 19 January 2022 lost to Serena Deeb at AEW Dynamite.

Most recently, on 2 April 2022, Skye lost to Jamie Hayter in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

Skye’s YouTube channel

Skye launched her YouTube channel “The Real Skye Blue” on 28 March 2008, and there are today close to 2,500 people subscribed to it, while all of her 94 videos combined have been watched nearly 600,000 times. The vast majority of these feature her wrestling, and we’re going to write about three of the most watched amongst these, as they’ve helped Skye expand her fanbase on the internet.

Her #1 video “Kylie Rae and Isaias Velazquez vs Skye Blue and Dante Martin” has been watched more than 35,000 times since 23 January 2022, and features a doubles fight which Dante Martin and Skye won.

Skye’s second most popular video “AAW women’s title match Skye Blue (C) vs Christi Jaynes” has been watched close to 35,000 times since 30 April 2022, and features Skye wrestling Christi Jaynes for the All American Wrestling Women’s Champion title.

Her #3 video “Skye Blue vs Storm Grayson” has been viewed close to 30,000 times since 5 December 2021, and shows Skye wrestling Storm Grayson, losing the match.

Presence on the internet

Skye’s active on several social media networks, and is followed by more than 110,000 people on Instagram, while she’s posted close to 500 pictures and videos; most of these feature her wrestling, or serve to announce her upcoming matches. Skye also occasionally uploads pictures which show her during her everyday life, whether she’s eating healthy foods, working out at the gym or showing off her attractive body.

She’s tweeted more than 2,700 times since the launch of her Twitter account in December 2015, and there are close to 60,000 people following her on this social media network; most of Skye’s tweets are in one way or another related to wrestling.

Skye’s allowed for her fanpage to be launched on Facebook; there are today more than 12,000 people following it, while it numbers over 12,000 likes of all of the page’s posts combined; most of these are the same pictures and videos found on Skye’s Instagram account.

Close to 9,000 people are following Skye on TikTok today, and all of her videos together have amassed more than 66,000 likes; the majority of these show her wrestling, while others feature her exercising, taking on internet challenges and lip syncing.

Love life and relationships

Skye hasn’t spoken about any men, or perhaps women whom she’s dated, but it’s believed that she’s romantically linked to fellow wrestler Dante Martin, as the two were seen kissing in the ring when they faced together Kylie Rae and Isaias Velazquez; neither Dante nor Skye has addressed the rumors.

Some of Skye’s fans believe that she’s perhaps lesbian, as some of her Instagram pictures feature her and a fellow female wrestler being rather too close, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

There are also those who claim that Skye’s today focused on her career and is not pursuing love, but Skye hasn’t taken the time to address any of these rumors.

She seems to be single as of March 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Skye spends the majority of her time working on her career, whether she’s practicing for or actually wrestling, or travelling for work; she’s revealed that she has little to no time to dedicate to herself, but that she’s chosen a career that she loves.

She’s been to a number of US states, but it’s believed that Skye’s yet to travel overseas; her dream travel destination’s Paris, France.

She’s a fan of tattoos, and has one on her right arm.

Skye’s a bit of a shopaholic, as she goes shopping for clothes nearly every day; she’s into fashion, and is trying to keep up with the latest trends by reading various fashion magazines on a daily basis, with her favorites being “Vogue”, “Elle” and “People”.

She’s into watching Hollywood movies late at night; Skye’s favorite actress and actor are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and some of her favorite movies include “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”, “Salt” and “Changeling”.
