Edmonds was born Tracey Elaine McQuarn in Los Angeles, California, under the Aquarius zodiac sign on 18 February 1967, which makes her 55 years old as of 2022. She is the daughter of the lawyer Jacqueline McQuarn and businessman George McQuarn, and her brother is the film director and producer Michael McQuarn. Edmonds was very organized and responsible during her formative years and used to take care of her brother when her parents were busy with work.

Career Beginnings

Tracey worked as a broker after her graduation ,and later opened a real estate sales office together with her mother in Newport Beach, later relocating their office to Los Angeles. Shortly afterwards, she met the famed musician Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, who gave her ideas on how to launch a profitable music-publishing firm, and she subsequently started the company Yab Yum Entertainment in 1993. One of the first musicians to sign under the company was Jon B. –and several other artists soon joined the firm as it prospered. Tracey later ventured into film production, and opened the company Edmonds Entertainment Group in early 1993.

Tracey produced her first movie entitled “Soul Food” four years after launching Edmonds Entertainment Group. The film was a success, and won several awards including an NAACP Image award. In 2002, she was the executive producer of the TV series “Soul Food: The Series” which ran until 2004, and scooped various awards including seven NAACP Image Awards.

Between 2004 and 2009, Tracey produced the comedy “College Hill,” which starred JayTee Thompson and Willie Macc and in 2011, she produced the comedy film “Jumping the Broom.” She later produced the Jill Scott and Regina Hall-starred comedy film “With This Ring” in 2015. Sadly, their marriage didn’t stand the test of time and they filed for a divorce in 2005 – it was finalized in mid-2007. The former couple previously became the subject of controversy after Babyface publicly stated that he was not in love with Stacey, despite being together for a decade and a half. Kenneth later married the American dancer, Nicole Pantenburg, in 2014, and the duo welcomed a daughter, Peyton Nicole Edmonds in 2008.
