He was born to Stephen Wyle who worked as an entrepreneur and electrical engineer and his wife Marjorie Wyle (nee Speer) who is an orthopedic head nurse – his parents are of Episcopalian (maternal side) and Russian-Jewish roots. Noah attended the Ojai-based Thacher School in California, and completed his studies in 1989. He was a very active actor when he was in high school, and later featured in Northwestern University’s Theatre Arts program, where he wrote plays, which saw him winning several awards. Wyle made his film debut in 1985 when he appeared in the western film “Lust in the Dust,” which starred Lainie Kazan, Tab Hunter and Devine. He caught the public attention with his performance in the critically acclaimed film “A Few Good Men” (1992) playing a Marine Jeep driver, before appearing in the feature film “There Goes My Baby” (1994).

He was next seen portraying Emil Lutz in “Swing Kids”, then in “The Myth of Fingerprints” (1997) together with Julianne Moore, Blythe Danner and Roy Scheider before he played Steve Jobs in 1999’s “Pirates of Silicon Valley.”

2000 saw Wyle portraying Buck in “Fail-Safe”, before he appeared in “Donnie Darko” as Prof Kenneth in the year that followed. Noah appeared in “Friends” as Dr Jeffrey in 1995, and in “Sesame Street” as Dr Colburn in the year that followed. From 2011 to 2015, he made an appearance in TNT’s “The Falling Skies” science fiction, in which he assumed the protagonist role of Tom Mason. He also lent his voice in the animated series “Phineas and Ferb”, and then appeared in 2015’s “Drunk History.” Wyle’s most recent roles have been in “The Romanoffs” (2018), in which he portrayed Ivan, and in 2019’s “The Red Line” as Daniel Calder.

As Blank Theatre Company’s artistic producer, Noah has contributed to many plays, including 1995’s “The 24th Day” opposite Peter Berg, “The Why,” and “Lobster Alice” in which he played Salvador opposite Nicholas Brendon. Personal Life

Wyle met make-up artist Tracy Warbin during the filming of “the Myth of Fingerprints.” He married her in 2000 and they subsequently welcomed two children together, a son and a daughter, named Owen Speer Wyle (born 9 November 2002) and Auden Wyle (born 15 October 2005) respectively. However, the duo separated in early 2009 and divorced in the year that followed.
