Way before Parkes made her foray into Hollywood, she built up a solid foundation with the theater group LAMDA, starring in over 20 theater productions even before she graduated.
Some of the minor productions she appeared in are “Punk Rock” as Sissy, “Celebration” as Suki, and Lois Fisher in “Children’s Hour”.
Some prominent plays she was cast in are “Much Ado About Nothing” (as Beatrice), “Women of Troy” (as Helen of Troy), and “The Taming of the Shrew” (as Grumio).

During her third year at LAMDA, Nadia Parkes went for only her third audition, gunning for the role of Catherine of Aragon in “The Spanish Princess”. However, after watching her audition, the directors immediately knew she was right for the role of Rosa De Vargas, and a few weeks later, Nadia started filming. She was the first person cast for the series.
Rosa de Vargas was the lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon (played by Charlotte Hope), in the movies based on the novels: “The King’s Curse” and “The Constant Princess”. Other prominent cast members include Laura Carmichael, Aaron Cobham, Elliot Cowan, Richard Pepper, and Alicia Borrachero.
Nadia Parkes said that she ‘had the time of her life’ in the six months spent on set, acting opposite Charlotte Hope.
However, ten months after her big break, she didn’t get any more roles, except for guest-starring in an episode of the British science fiction series, “Doctor Who” (2020). so in that time she started working at a special needs school for children. In 2021, Nadia was billed to play the role of Sophie Diller in “Starstruck”, a comedy series about a London-based millennial navigating two jobs, whose life takes a turn for the complicated when she accidentally sleeps with a movie star. She was cast alongside Nikesh Patel, Emma Sidi, Nic Sampson and Rose Matafeo.
Nadia Parkes was a guest in the very first episode of the podcast “Village People With Simon & Mark” in 2019. The podcast involves the two hosts interviewing fictional people from a fictional village, and in her segment, Nadia portrayed a dramatist named Catherine Moonshine. Then, she also appeared as a guest on the first episode of “Your Q” on 1 July 2021.
