Who is Jaime Xie?

American socialite, TV personality, model, fashion designer and businesswoman Jaime Xie, was born in San Francisco Bay Area, California USA, on 9 November 1997, meaning that Scorpio’s her zodiac sign, while she’s of Asian descent. She’s perhaps known best for starring in the reality show “Bling Empire”, alongside Kevin Kreider and Christine Chiu, and which follows the lives of wealthy East Asians living in Los Angeles, California; the series has been airing since 2021, and has been nominated for two awards.

Education and early life

Jaime was raised alongside her two brothers in San Francisco Bay Area, by their Chinese-born American father Ken Xie who’s a billionaire businessman, and is perhaps known best for being the founder of Fortinet, NetScreen and Systems Integration Solutions; their Taiwanese mother’s name hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s believed that she had a modeling career.

Jaime grew up having everything she wanted, as Ken was rarely able to say ‘no’ to his children’s wishes; in 2020, Ken’s net worth was estimated at over $4.2 billion.

Jaime was mostly into riding horses while growing up, and became a competitive equestrian at the age of 12, often competing against Steve Jobs’ daughter Eve. In 2014 aged 16, Jaime and her horse Comissario won the USEF Horse of the Year Award, and ranked #1 in the US.

Jaime attended a local high school in San Francisco, and was mostly into dancing and acting during her time there; she matriculated in 2016 and then enrolled at Los Angeles’ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, as she dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. She had attended her first fashion week a year earlier, however, the institute turned out to be too much for Jaime, who dropped out after only a year.

Career as an equestrian

Jaime’s dream was to become the best equestrian in the world, and she did indeed win a number of competitions during her teenage years, with her best accomplishment being winning in the USEF small junior hunter 16-17 division.

Jamie’s passion for riding horses didn’t last long, as she was 20 when she chose to retire and pursue a career in the fashion industry.

Career as a fashion designer

Upon dropping out of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Jaime chose to focus on launching her own brand.

She launched her own website Jaimexie.com, onto which she initially only uploaded pictures of the clothes which she was to make, while she eventually began selling these on the internet. After attracting enough attention with her work, she was invited to collaborate with Tiffany & Co. and Farfetch, while some of her most popular brands with which she’s since collaborated include La Prairie, Jimmy Choo and SSENSE.

Jaime’s been invited to make a guest appearance in several talk-shows since her starring role in “Bling Empire”, but she’s rejected all of these for unknown reasons.

Presence on social media networks

Jaime’s a social media star and is active on several networks; she seems to be mostly focused on running her Instagram account, which today numbers over 830,000 followers and more than 600 pictures and videos uploaded onto it, while all of these feature Jaime during her everyday life, whether she’s showing off her clothes, partying or walking the catwalk.

She launched her Twitter account in October 2010, but only close to 600 people are following her on the social media network, as she’s only tweeted five times; the sole purpose of Jaime’s Twitter account seems to be to promote her Instagram account and website.

Jaime also has a Facebook profile and has over 1,700 friends on the network, but her most recent update was on 30 April 2019; it’s widely believed that she uses Facebook only to occasionally stay in touch with her friends.

Jaime has a TikTok account with over 1,200 followers, but she’s yet to upload any videos; she’s nevertheless popular on the network, as numerous users have uploaded videos which feature Jaime, and these have been watched over a billion times.

Love life and relationships

Jaime shies away from sharing the details of her love life with her fans, and hasn’t mentioned the boys and/or girls whom she’s dated, neither has she featured any in her Instagram pictures.

Most of her fans believe her to be bisexual, as some have claimed to have seen Jaime kissing both girls and boys at clubs in Los Angeles, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims.

There are also some who claim that she’s perhaps asexual, and isn’t interested in pursuing love at all but rather wants to focus on her career; Jaime hasn’t addressed this either.

Jaime enjoys leading a lavish lifestyle, staying at the most luxurious of hotels, eating at the most expensive restaurants and wearing only designer clothes; she’s been criticized about her lifestyle because nearly all of her money comes from her billionaire father, but Jaime hasn’t bothered to address this.

She eats only healthy food, and is following a very strict diet, as she has to keep her figure slim if she wants to continue modelling; some of her fans have asked if she’s perhaps anorexic, but Jaime’s denied these rumors.

Jaime’s passionate about travelling, and dreams of visiting every country in the world; she’s already been to more than 50, and her favorite city so far is Madrid, Spain.

She loves to party, and can often be seen spending time at Los Angeles nightclubs.
