Hakeem Nicks Net Worth $6 Million

Hakeem Nicks is a son of Lisa Mason and Rob Nicks Jr., and grew up in North Carolina alongside his two brothers. He went to Independence High School, and excelled in football as one of the hottest young prospects in the state, and never lost a game while at the school. Nicks then spent three years at North Carolina University and recorded 181 receptions for 21 touchdowns (both college records) in 36 games. In 2007 and 2008, Hakeem was in the First-team All-ACC, then in the 2009 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected him as the 29th pick overall in the first round.

In August 2009, Nicks signed a five-year deal with the Giants, worth $12.54 million, including the signing bonus of $ $6.5 million. Hakeem got his first professional touchdown pass against the Kansas City Chiefs in October 2009, and scored a TD in the next four matches, as well. These performances secured him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month award, and by the end of the season, Hakeem had became the Giants second wide receiver, opposite Steve Smith, and ahead of Domenik Hixon and Mario Manningham.

In week one of the 2010 season, Nicks had his first three-touchdown game, against the Carolina Panthers, and ended the best individual season of his career with 79 receptions for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns. However, in 2011, Nicks and the New York Giants won the Super Bowl XLVI, defeating the New England Patriots 21-17, while Hakeem had ten receptions for 109 yards, making him the leading receiver in the big game. The next two years weren’t very fruitful for Nicks, as he managed to catch only three touchdown passes in 28 games (26 starts).

He became a free agent in 2014, and the Indianapolis Colts bought him on a one-year $5.5 million contract. Hakeem started in six out of 16 matches, recording 38 receptions for 408 yards and four touchdowns. After an inter-season spell with the Tennessee Titans in 2015, Nicks returned to the Giants on a one-year deal worth of $745,000, but he had only seven receptions for 54 yards in total. In July 2016, Hakeem joined the New Orleans Saints, but they released him the following month and he is a free agent at the moment.

During seven seasons in the NFL, Nicks recorded 356 receptions for 31 touchdowns and 5,081 yards in total.

Regarding his personal life, Hakeem Nicks has been engaged to the model Ariel Meredith since 2014, and has one child with her.
