Kingston Rossdale’s Mother, Gwen Stefani
Gwen Renee Stefani was born on 3 October 1969, in Fullerton, California USA, the daughter of Dennis Stefani and his wife Patti, and one of four children, with two younger siblings Jill and Todd, and Eric who is the oldest.
Exposed to folk and rock music from an early age, Gwen showed interest in music at a young age, and by 1991 she was already a co-founding member of the band No Doubt, alongside her brother Eric. Her debut self-titled album came out in 1992, but to mediocre reviews as the grunge genre was taking over the music scene, and No Doubt wasn’t part of the movement with its ska-pop music sound.
However, the dices rolled to her side with her third album, “Tragic Kingdom”, which spawned such hits as the eponymous “Don’t Speak” and “Just a Girl” among others. Since then, No Doubt has released three more albums – “Return of Saturn” (2000), “Rock Steady” (2001), and “Push and Shove” (2012).
Gwen has been more focused on her solo career, and has so far released four studio albums, including the debut “Love. Angel. Music. Baby” (2004), which achieved multiple platinum status in the US and UK as well, then “The Sweet Escape” (2006), “That Is What the Truth Feels Like”, which became her first album to top the US Billboard 200 chart, and her most recent release “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” in 2017.
She was married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016, filing for divorce in 2015. She married singer Blake Shelton in 2021 after starting a romantic relationship with him in November 2015.
Kingston Rossdale Father, Gavin Rossdale
Gavin McGregor Rossdale was born on 30 October 1965, in Marylebone, London England. The son of Douglas Rossdale a Russian-Jewish doctor, and Barbara Stephan (nee Bowie), the original family surname was Rosenthal. Gavin didn’t speak until he was four. Before Bush, Gavin was a member of bands Midnight and The Little Dukes, but had no success. He traveled to Los Angeles and New York, where he befriended Nigel Pulsford, with whom he formed the grunge band Bush. Their first album, “Sixteen Stone” (1994), spawned such hits as “Everything Zen” and “Glycerine”, among others.
They were active until the early 2000s when they broke-up, and Gavin went on to sing with Institute, and also release his solo album “Wanderlust” in 2008, before reuniting with Bush in 2010. Since then, the band has released four more albums – “The Sea of Memories” (2011), “Man on the Run” (2014), “Black and White Rainbows” (2017), and “The Kingdom” in 2020.
The Boy George’s autobiography “Take It Like a Man”, described Gavin’s relationship with Jamaican pop singer Peter Robinson, better known as Marilyn. At first, Gavin denied the romance, but later said that Peter was the love of his life. Aside from his long-lasting romance with Gwen Stefani, whom he met in the mid-‘90s at an event in which they performed together, Gavin also dated Suze DeMarchi, the lead singer of the band Baby Animals, and had a brief relationship with Pearl Lowe in the late ‘80s.
