George Gregory Plitt was born on 3rd November 1977, in Baltimore, Maryland USA, however he died on 17th January 2015. He was an actor and fitness model, although he was an army ranger for a short period of time. During his career he appeared in many television campaigns for Under Armor, Old Navy, Calvin Klein, Old Spice and others. He also modeled for magazines such as, Maxim, AXL, American Health and Fitness, and others. His career started in 2006, but ended rather early in 2015. However, he will be remembered as the first fitness model who appeared on the cover of magazines every month for five years without an exception.

His acting career started in 2006, with his appearances as a support role in films such as “Bobby” and “The Good Shepherd”. His career was slowly building up: in 2009 his body was used as a figure of Dr. Manhattan`s CGI. He became a spokesperson and model for Thierry Mugler`s Angel Men and ICE Men perfumes. He did commercials for various model agencies, including “Old Spice”, “Calvin Klein”, “Old Navy” and others, which significantly affected his net worth.

His bodybuilding career earned him appearances on the covers of magazines and editorials,
“Maxim”, “AXL”, “American Health and Fitness”, “Flaunt”, “Fitness RX for Men” and others which increased his fame and net worth. In addition to these he launched two products under his name,“Metaball”, referred as an “Entire Gym in a Ball”, used for a series of exercises and a protein and energy packed supplement, “Whey Up.

In 2012 he was awarded MET-Rx athlete of the year, as he was part of the official MET-Rx athlete.

He continued with television career, and in 2013 he held his own show, “Work Out in the Zone”. Overall, he appeared in more than 10 television and film roles before his death.

Greg Plitt died on 17th January 2015, after he was struck by train while he was running between the rails. It was reported that he was standing on the rails, and was trying to outrun the train, as result of an energy drink, for which he was doing a commercial, although obviously results weren`t what they had expected. His life tragically ended.

Regarding his life, he dedicated it to fitness, as a result he was named as one of The 25 Fittest Americans by “Men`s Fitness” magazine, one of The 60 Sexiest Man Alive, and one of America`s Most Eligible Bachelors.
