Who is Grant Cohn?
American freelance writer, YouTuber and social media star Grant Cohn, was born in Oakland, California USA, on 13 January 1988, so Capricorn’s his zodiac sign. He’s perhaps known best for his self-titled YouTube channel, which he launched on 5 February 2014, and which today numbers over 60,000 subscribers. All of Grant’s videos combined have been watched nearly 100 million times, and most are about the National Football League (NFL) team San Francisco 49ers.
Education and early life
Grant was raised in Oakland as an only child, by his parents who prefer to stay away from media, which is why Grant avoids speaking about them in public; it’s believed that his father’s a police officer, and his mother a registered nurse.
Grant began playing football while still attending a local elementary school, and continued upon enrolling at Montera School in 2002. He was 16 when he became interested in journalism, and started writing for his school’s newspaper.
Upon matriculating in 2006, Grant enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English language and literature in 2010.

Upon graduating from UCLA, Grant began working as a blogger at Cohn Zohn, and in December 2010, he began working at CSNBayArea.com as a regular contributor; Grant held the job for 11 months, and then in June 2013 began covering the San Francisco 49ers’ games for The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, a job which he’s been doing to this day.
Since March 2015, Grant’s also been working for Bleacher Report as a columnist, and is today also employed as a freelance writer for the popular magazine “Sports Illustrated”.

Grant seems to be mostly be popular on YouTube for his in-depth analysis of the San Francisco 49ers games, although his fans also seem to like him for his general knowledge of football. His #3 most viewed video “49ers DT Javon Kinlaw Tells Grant Cohn Why He’s Mad” has been watched close to 140,000 times since 25 May 2022, and features Grant interviewing American Football Player Javon Kinlaw, with Javon revealing why he was mad.

Grant’s active on several social media networks, and has tweeted close to 80,000 times since the launch of his Twitter account in September 2010; he’s today followed by nearly 40,000 people, and most of his tweets are in one way or the other related to the 49ers. He has a Facebook profile, but seems to be using it only to write to his best friends and family members; he has nearly 1,000 friends, and doesn’t allow his fans to befriend him on this social media network.
Grant’s only recently launched his TikTok account, which is why he’s uploaded only a single video, and why he’s followed by only 19 people. He’s still quite popular on the network, as numerous videos featuring him have been uploaded by other users, and these have been viewed more than 10 million times.
Love life and relationships
Grant avoids speaking about his love life in public, as he prefers to keep these details to himself, but this has only made his fans start various rumors on the internet, most of which concern his sexual orientation.
Some of Grant’s fans believe him to be gay, claiming that this is why he hasn’t spoken of the women whom he’s maybe dated; it’s also believed that Grant was spotted spending time with his boyfriend at a New York City club, but no evidence has been provided to support these rumors.
