Originally from Los Angeles, California, Gordon discovered his musical talents at an early age, initially as a guitarist, but also did all he could to become a famous singer. In 1997 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and joined the rock band Cool for August, comprised of guitarist Shad Hills, Andrew Shives as the bass player, then Trevor Kustiak as the second guitarist, and Shane Hills who was given drumming duties. Their debut release was the EP “MilinSorgin”, released in 1997, and the same year they released their first and as it turned out only full-length album – “Grand World” – which spawned such hits as “Don’t Wanna Be Here”, “Trials”, and “Walk Away”. They toured across the USA after the release of the debut album, but unfortunately they were waived by the Warner Bros. Records, and as a result, they decided to disband in 2001.
