Who is Corinna Brown?

British actress and stuntwoman Corinna Brown was born under the zodiac sign Capricorn on 24 December 1998, in London, England. She has 11 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for having performed stunts in the 2023 adventure science fiction movie “The Kitchen”, written and directed by Daniel Kaluuya, and which starred Kano, Hope Ikpoku Jnr and Jedaiah Bannerman. It follows the lives of a group of people living in The Kitchen, in a dystopian future in which all social housing’s been eliminated; the film won two of its three award nominations.

Corinna’s today highly active in the film industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming movie “The Green Frog” and the series “Barely Grown”.

Early life and education

Corinna was raised alongside her one older and one younger brother in London, by their father and mother who prefer to be left out of media; it’s widely believed that Corinna’s mother’s a talent agent and her father a high school soccer coach, but this remains unconfirmed.

She started performing at a very early age, and took acting lessons at Anna Fiorentini Theatre and Film School; Corinna was 13 when she made her film debut, playing Nashauna in the 2012 crime movie “My Murder”, directed by Bruce Goodison, and which starred Simona Zivkovska, Malachi Kirby and John Boyega. It follows delinquent Shakilus Townsend who’s decided to turn his life around now that he’s fallen in love with a girl, while he doesn’t know that she already has a dangerous boyfriend; the film won two of its five award nominations.

Corinna went on to appear in various plays, and was a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art’s youth troupe, while she also made a couple of appearances in commercials. She matriculated from East 15 Acting School in 2020, specializing in stage combat; Corinna then didn’t pursue a college degree.

Roles in movies

The year 2017 saw Corinna play Girl on Bus 2 in the popular comedy “Daphne”, directed by Peter Mackie Burns, and which starred Emily Beecham, Geraldine James and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. It follows the life of a young woman in need of change, and the film won three of its 13 award nominations.

The year 2018 heard Corinna voice Internet in the short science fiction “Profile”, written and directed by Marcus Wood, and which starred Ciara Kaighin Adams, Poppy Bevan-Cross and Fay Barker; the film’s about social media networks and the dangers lurking on the internet.

In 2023, she starred as Ashlee in the short drama “Essex Girls”, directed by Yero Timi-Biu, and which also starred Maisie Smith and Busayo Ige. It follows Black British girlhood in 2009 Essex, and the film was nominated for two awards.

Corinna’s other two film roles have been in the short action horror “Bitten”, and the short action thriller “Trial 22”, both released in 2023.

Roles in TV series

Corinna has three TV series roles. Her debut was playing Fifth Plebeian in the 2020 episode “Julius Caesar” of the drama “The Show Must Go Online”, which starred Andrew Mockler, Matthew Rhodes and Gabriel Akamo, and is a compilation of live online readings of the Complete Plays of Shakespeare.

In 2022, Corinna played Chelsea Craig in the episode “Surface Level” of the drama “Doctors”, which stars Adrian Lewis Morgan, Matthew Chambers and Jan Pearson, and follows the lives of several doctors from Birmingham; the series has been airing since 2000 and has won 17 of its more than 100 award nominations.

In 2022 and 2023, Corinna portrayed Tara Jones in 13 episodes of the popular romantic series “Heartstopper”, which Alice Oseman created, and which stars William Gao, Joe Locke and Kit Connor. It follows two boys who’ve fallen in love, and the series won 15 of its 46 award nominations.

Other credits

Corinna worked as Mogali Masuku’s stunt double on the 2021 horror movie “Dashcam”, written and directed by Rob Savage, and which starred Angela Enahoro, Amar Chadha-Patel and Annie Hardy. It follows two friends who’ve embarked on a road trip and the film won a British Independent Film Award for Best Effects. Corinna’s currently working as a stunt double on the upcoming movie “Snow White”, and the series “Supacell”.

She was featured in the 2023 TV special “Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event”.

Love life and relationships

Corinna shies away from talking about her love life in public, and this has led her fans to believe that she’s lesbian; some have claimed that she might be in a relationship with a girl featured in some of her internet content, but this remains unconfirmed.

There are also those who believe Corinna to be focused on her career, and that she isn’t pursuing love because of this, however, this hasn’t been addressed by her either.

Corinna seems to be unattached as of February 2024, doesn’t have children and hasn’t married.

Interesting facts and hobbies

Corinna’s into fashion and goes shopping for clothes nearly every day, which also makes her a shopaholic; her favorite color’s green.

She’s also done some modelling work, most notably for Hugo Boss.

Corinna stays in shape by working out at the gym three to four times a week, while she also follows a strict diet.

She’s become passionate about travelling now that her acting career’s taken her to several European countries and US states – one of Corinna’s favorite cities to travel to is Madrid, Spain.

Corinna’s two favorite actresses are Zoe Saldana and Zendaya, and a couple of her favorite movies are the franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Dune: Part One”, and “The Greatest Showman”.
