Erin Gilfoy is an American Vine and YouTube star, who achieved stardom by launching the YouTube channel Erin & Carly, in collaboration with her best friend Carly Incontro. The two had previously been known on Vine, and following the applications shut down, they transferred to YouTube, and soon shot to international fame.

Career Beginnings
Erin’s career started in the early 2010s, with a string of short, and funny videos on the video-sharing platform Vine. She was slowly becoming popular thanks to her comedic skills, and also met several other Viners, bonding with Carly. The two launched a series of videos called “Vining and Driving”, in which they would drive around the city and interview other popular Viners.
This only brought them fame, however, after Vine was shut down in 2015, the two launched their YouTube channel, Erin & Carly.
The two soon uploaded their first video – “Vining and Driving: The Intro” – which now has over 75,000 views. Once their fans from Vine realized that the two had launched on YouTube, they rushed to subscribe to their channel, and their journey to popularity started.
Erin and Carly uploaded new videos onto their channel, including interviews with Viners such as Brandon Calvillo and Mielmonster among others, but they would also upload videos such as events from their personal lives, including their trip to Ireland, and a night out.

Gradually, the duo was becoming more popular, mirrored in the number of their subscribers, which currently stands at 1.25 million people around the world. Over the years they’ve teamed up with other former Viners, and launched the Vlog Squad group, with whom they’ve recorded numerous videos. Some of the Squad members are Scotty Sire, BigNik, Jason Nash, Elton Castee, Alex Ernst and Gabbie Hanna, among numerous others, and yhey’ve become an internet sensation, thanks to their perky personalities and comedic approach.
Their videos have now been viewed almost 280 million times – some of the most popular include “Davids First Time at Starbucks” with six million views, then “Jeff Is Our Personal Trainer For the Day!”, which has been viewed around 4.5 million times, and “Vlog Squad Girls Answer Relationship Questions”, viewed more than 3.5 million times.

In addition to her work with Carly, Erin has also launched her own channel, simply entitled Erin Gilfoy. She uploaded the first video “Idk What I’m Doing Even (vlog 1)” in 2018. and has continued to make videos on her own, and now has more than 160,000 subscribers and over 11 million views.
Some of the most popular videos on this channel include “Addressing My Past”, in which she talked about controversial videos in which she was naked and talking about black people in a negative way, which has over 460,000 views, then, “I Got Engaged!! (the proposal)”, which has been viewed more than 420,000 times, and “I Tested Positive”, which has more than 370,000 views, in addition to many other videos that have only increased her popularity.
