Eduin always wanted to sing, and when he was younger, tried to earn money from performing on the streets, including traveling to the Mexican-American border to perform in front of the line of emigrants. By doing so, the young artist got the chance to impress huge crowds, and earn some money.

To pursue his dreams, after matriculating from high school, he moved to Tijuana with his brother. He allegedly studied at the University of Baja in California and majored in Marketing. However, he didn’t pursue an associated career, and instead chose to concentrate all his attention on music.

Career

Eduin founded the Tijuanian band Grupo Firme with his brother Jhonny, Jairo Corrales and other musicians. The group didn’t achieve success easily, and shortly after they started performing, some of the members left as they couldn’t withstand the insecurity of the industry and competition. The group found new members, and started performing underground. Since they didn’t have original songs, the newly-formed band had to stick to covers of famous pieces, while mainly appearing in clubs and at local festivals.

But Eduin wasn’t willing to spend all his life performing others’ songs. He started writing original pieces, and consequently, Grupo Firme became more recognized on the music scene. In 2017, the band released their first album “Pasado, Presente, Futuro” which featured 12 songs – the album wasn’t successful, however, it allowed the group to reinstate themselves as an original band.

With Eduin as a lead singer, Christian Téllez and Joaquín Ruiz on bass guitars, Dylan Camacho on accordion, and Fito Rubio on drums, the group released a couple more albums, including “El Barco” and “En Vivo Desde Tijuana: Los Buitrones y Los Firmes”. However, they didn’t rise to fame until 2020, when they came out with the songs “Juro Por Dios”, “Pídeme”, and “El Roto”, which quickly turned into hits. As a result, Grupo Firme went on a tour to Columbia, where they also recorded a live album entitled “En Vivo Desde Medellín Colombia”.
