Jordi Mollà is a Goya Award-nominated Spanish filmmaker, actor, artis, and writer, who is perhaps best known for his roles in the films “Second Skin” in 2000, “Bad Boys II” in 2003, and “Riddick” in 2013.

TV Appearances
Mollà made his first TV appearance in an episode of the drama series “El Viatge” in 1987. He later landed the lead role in the drama “La Granja, Menjars Casolans” (1989-1991), sharing the screen with Joan Borras, Rosa Serra and Laura Barrufet. 1993 saw him playing Painter Angel Sotto in the biopic mini-series “The Young Picasso.”
Thereafter, he focused solely on film appearances for one and a half decades, so his next TV role was in 2011, in an episode of the acclaimed American crime TV show “CSI: Miami.” In 2018, he guest-starred as Dr. Salvador Ruiz in several episodes of National Geographic’s biographical series “Genius”, and in the same year appeared in the action drama “Queen of the South” alongside Alice Braga, Veronica Falcon and Joaquim de Almeida, among others.

Jordi scooped the National Short Film Award for directing “Walter Peralta” in 1993. His works in the 1997 drama film, “La Buena Estrella” or “The Lucky Star” saw him winning five awards, including the Butaca Award in the category of Best Catalan Actor. Mollà is a five-time nominee for Goya Awards for his appearances in the projects “La Celestina,” “Walter Peralta,” and “La Buena Estrella,” among others. He ‘won’ two Yoga Awards for worst Spanish Actor and Worst Spanish Director in 2000 and 2003 respectively, but he also scooped Turia Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his contribution to the 2009 film “The Consul of Sodom.” Recently in 2020, he was nominated for the Award of the Spanish Actors Union in the category of Best Actor in an International Production.
