Who is Clara Alvarado?
If you are a fan of the popular Netflix series “La Casa de Papel” (Money Heist), you are certainly familiar with the character of Ariadna, and if you ever wanted to know more about the actress who portrayed her, let us introduce you with Clara Alvarado Bermudo. She was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on 2 July 1990, in Caceres, Estremadura, Spain; she holds Spanish nationality, and her ethnicity is Latino. Clara is a singer and actress, with over 20 credits to her name, and besides the mentioned role, she is also known for starring in movies such as “Holy Camp!” and “Smoking Club 129 Normas”.

Early life and education
Clara was raised in the small town called Deleitosa by her parents, as their only child; she hasn’t revealed their names, however, it’s known that her father is a businessman and her mother a housewife.
Clara had an interest in music and performing from an early age, and studied music and singing at the Municipal School of Music in her town, and was a member of the Cum lubilo de Plasencia chores. During her primary school days, she was playing in theatre, as she said, just for entertainment, but Clara was also into sports, and practiced rhythmic gymnastics and athletics (high jump and speed jump).
She attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2007, she moved to Madrid, Spain, and enrolled at college, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursery,in 2011, although she never practiced but launched her acting career.
Roles in series
Clara made her acting debut portraying Isa in the series “Cuentame” in 2011, followed by her role as Vanesa in “La Que Se Avecina” in 2012, and then five years later she was cast to play her most notable television role, as Ariadna in “La Casa de Papel”, also starring Itziar Ituno, Ursula Corbero, and Alvaro Morte.
The series follows the story of a group of robbers and their attempt to carry out the most perfect robbery by stealing over 2 billion euros from the Royal Mint of Spain – this action crime drama had 43 award nominations, and won 32.
In the following years, Clara was seen as a Model in “Dorien”, and then as Raquel in “Yo Quisiera”, a musical drama in which Clara showed her singing talent, followed by her role in the mystery drama “Bajo la Red” in 2019.
Clara made an appearance as Leyre Blasco in the TV mini-series “Circular”, and was then seen as Secretary in “Madres. Amor y Vida”, a popular Spanish drama series, also starring Aida Folch, Belen Rueda and Alain Hernandez – this was Clara’s most recent television role, in 2020.
It is announced that Clara is starring in the new science-fiction drama series “Daedalus”, and according to sources, the release date is 25 March 2022.
Roles in movies
Clara had her first movie role in the short movie “Almohada” in 2012, and in the following years, she starred in another two short movies, entitled “La Voz del Aqua” and “Despertar” before her role as Paula in the 2017 movie “Selfie”, which had eight award nominations and won six, including Málaga Spanish Film Festival Silver Biznaga Special Critics Award (Premio Especial del Jurado de la Crítica), which is one of the prestigious festivals dedicated to showcasing and promoting Spanish films.
It seems that 2017 was a good year for Clara, as she portrayed Fanny in the comedy drama “Smoking Club 129 normas”, and was then seen as Silvia in “Sanfelices”, before she was cast to play Niña 5 in “Holy Camp!”, a musical drama written and directed by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, which had 22 award nominations and won nine.
In 2019, Clara reprised her role as Rebeca in the TV movie “Bajo la Red 2, la Pelicula” based on the eponymous series, and then in the following year, she was seen as Ana Mejias in “Amores Que Matan”, a thriller drama also starring Orlando Delgado and Ely Cay; although it didn’t have any awards or nominations, it was well accepted by the audience.
This was Clara’s most recent movie role, but her fans are hoping that they will enjoy her work in the near future.
Love life and relationships
There were various rumors concerning Clara’s love life, some of them saying that she’s romantically involved with one of her fellows from “La Casa de Papel”, however, Clara hasn’t commented about these assumptions.

In her interview for Unagi magazine, Clara has spoken about the theatre, saying that ‘it is her first love’ when it comes to acting – one of her favorite roles was in the musical play “Hercules”, and having a chance to perform alongside Pablo Abraira at the “Teatru Romanu de Mérida” in Madrid in 2015.
Clara launched her self-titled YouTube channel on 4 July 2013, onto which she uploads her music videos and short movies, and it’s today subscribed to by nearly 2,000 people; all of her videos combined have amassed over 55,000 views.
She’s also active on Instagram, and an army of her fans whose number counts over 550,000 can enjoy photos featuring her everyday life, and keep track of her work.
Recently she posted a photo featuring herself all dressed up and ready for Malaga’s Film Festival, and it seems that she found a new hobby (or maybe a profession) as a model for Teresa Hebig’s collection, since she posted a video in which you can see her on the catwalk, and she wrote in the description:
