David Franck Charvet was born on 15 May 1972, in Lyon, France, of Jewish and Tunisian descent. David is a singer, model, actor, and television personality, best known for being part of the television show “Baywatch” as Matt Brody. He’s also had a successful music career, and all of his endeavours have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

At a young age, David completed most of his education through home-schooling. Later on, he started looking for an acting opportunity, and got his big break when he moved to the USA and was cast in “Baywatch” during 1992, and became extremely popular through the internationally syndicated show, which lasted for three seasons until 1995. He then appeared in “Melrose Place” for another three years, while also appearing in other projects such as “Meet Prince Charming”, “Derby” and “Angel Flight Down”. In 1999, he would leave acting to focus on a music career.

Charvet returned to France, and was given a five-album contract with the Universal Music Group. In the next seven years he would release three pop rock studio albums led by “David Charvet” in 1997. This was followed by “Leap of Faith” in 2002 and “Se laisser quelque chose” two years later; his albums contained both English and French songs. His debut single “Should I Leave” found success in several European countries. He toured extensively around Asia and Europe, collaborating with various artists, including Bryan Adams and Seal. He is reportedly working on another album in 2016.

In 2006, Charvet resumed acting in the film “Prisoners of the Sun” – which was only released in 2013 – directed by Academy Award-winner Roger Christian who’s part of “Star Wars Episode IV- A New Hope”. He also appeared in “Green Flash”, and the 2009 reality show “The Superstars”. In the “Green Flash” he plays Cameron Day, a star basketball player with aims of getting into the NBA. However, a failure during one of his games causes him to live an aimless life. The character then finds invigoration through beach volleyball. Aside from these, David was also a contestant in “La Ferme Celebrities” during 2010.

For his personal life, it is known that David’s father Paul Guez was the founder of the Sasson brand of jeans. Interestingly, he uses his mother’s maiden name for his stage name. In the early 1990s, he won a green card through the Morrison visa lottery. Charvet married actress Brooke Burke in 2011, with Brooke adopting Charvet’s last name; and they have two children. Burke also had two children in her first marriage.
