Who is Winslow Fegley?
Winslow Fegley was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania USA, on 23 January 2009 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s still a child actor, with more than 10 credits to his name already, while he’s perhaps known best for his portrayal of Byron in the 2020 mystery horror movie “Come Play”. Winslow is being raised alongside his older brother Oakes Fegley in Allentown, by their father Michael Fegley and their mother Mercedes (nee Tonne). Oakes is also an actor, and has appeared in close to 20 movies and TV series, probably known best for his portrayal of the main character Pete in the popular 2016 action adventure comedy movie “Pete’s Dragon”. It follows the orphaned boy Pete and his best friend, the dragon Elliott; the movie won three of the 10 awards for which it was nominated.
Winslow grew up being interested in acting, mostly because he was motivated by his brother and encouraged by his entire family.
He enrolled at elementary school in 2015, and immediately joined its drama club; he launched his acting career two years later, making his debut film appearance in the hit 2017 comedy “Rough Night”. It was written and directed by Lucia Aniello, starred Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon and Zoe Kravitz, and follows several girlfriends who have hired a male stripper for their bachelorette party; the movie won one of the two awards for which it was nominated.
Winslow is currently attending seventh grade, and should be enrolling at high school in 2023.
Roles in TV series
Winslow has appeared in only three TV series. He made his debut in the 2018 episode “Gender Bender” of the comedy “Teachers”, created by The Katydids, and which starred Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton and Kate Lambert.
It follows the lives of six elementary school teachers, and the series won two awards.
In 2019, Winslow starred as Mel in all the eight episodes of the adventure science fiction comedy “Fast Layne”, created by Travis Braun, and which also starred Sophie Pollono, Sofia Rosinsky and Enid-Raye Adams. It follows the 12-year-old Layne who has found a talking car, which calls itself V.I.N., in an abandoned shed.
His only other TV series role has been his portrayal of Pre-Teen Shaun in the 2019 episode “Friends and Family” of the hit drama “The Good Doctor”, created by David Shore, and which stars Freddie Highmore, Hill Harper and Richard Schiff.
The series has been airing since 2017, and follows the young surgeon on the autism spectrum Shaun Murphy, who has been hired to work at a prestigious hospital; it has won four of the 24 awards for which it has been nominated.
Roles in movies
In 2020, Winslow starred in the title role in “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made”, the adventure comedy drama written and directed by Tom McCarthy, and which also starred Ophelia Lovibond and Wallace Shawn. It follows an 11-year=old boy and his imaginary polar bear friend, as they’re running the detective agency Total Failures; the movie was nominated for four awards.
In 2021, Winslow portrayed the lead character Alex in the horror family fantasy “Nightbooks”, directed by David Yarovesky, and which also starred Lidya Jewett and Krysten Ritter. It follows the boy Alex who’s fascinated by scary stories, and has now been imprisoned by a young witch at her apartment in New York City.
Also in 2021, he starred as Jake Doyle (Young) in the popular family comedy “8-Bit Christmas”, directed by Michael Dowse, and which also starred Neil Patrick Harris and Steve Zahn. The movie follows a 10 years old boy living in the ‘80s Chicago, who’s trying to get the latest and best video-game system; it was nominated for a PGA Award for Outstanding Producer of Televised or Streamed Motion Pictures.
Winslow is currently shooting and recording for three upcoming movies: the adventure drama “When the Moon Was Twice as Big”, the biographical musical drama “Spinning Gold”, and the animated adventure comedy “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” (voice role).

Winslow has appeared in a couple of talk-shows. In 2020, he was featured in the episode “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made (Press Event)” of “On the Scene with Lindalee”, and the same year saw him in the episode “Craig Robinson & Winslow Fegley on the Disney+ Original Movie, ‘Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made’” of the show “Build”.
